Sunday Ticket full price, which I've never paid, is still far less expensive for me than going to a sports bar, where parking is at least $10 dollars ($160 dollars) or an Uber (at least $160 dollars) plus breakfast/lunch/drink, even if it's just iced tea (I'm not a day drinker).

I'd be looking at $500 per season going to a sports bar, plus, I'd have to get all dolled up to go to a place in Hollywood, too.

No thanks.

God damnit Dane! You were supposed to **** my shit up. Why don't you dislike me?!!

Well, he's right.

Those of us that depend on royalties to earn a living are outraged by illegal streams and downloaders.

Way too often, people forget about those that create entertainment for the masses, somehow believing that it's theirs to have for free.

Point to Dane.

I wonder if they'll ever have a pay per view option for those of us who don't give a shit about fantasy football and only want to watch a specific team.

What would from keeping the majority of their subscribers from leaving if they offered it to everyone?

No, Direct TV should just go away like Blockbuster, RadioShack, and every other antiquated business.

I'm guessing that if the NFL offered up-to-date technology and options they could make more money than what AT&T/DirectTV is paying them.

But in the end the NFL isn't going to turn down the 12 billion dollars that they are getting and the customer is stuck with a shitty product. It's no wonder that most people don't feel guilty when they stream.

They should think about giving their customers more than these three options.

Thats a fair point IMO, especially with movies and music

I dont stream movies illegally, and particularly with music I am not a downloader.... much prefer to go buy a cd and support that artist

But with the NFL, I'm not inclined to feel any shame about it

I got into a big ordeal here years ago that led to a several-month vacation. Had some support from folks like you, but by and large was relentlessly ridiculed over my position. To the point I was still getting messages and beg reps about it well after the thread died.

NFL Sunday ticket isn't worth the $$$$... Even living out of market.

That's pretty much it. Over pricing will lead to piracy.

Oh i totally agree. Im just not into stealing content. As had been mentioned, would be nice if NFL sold ala carte but of course they're going for the bigger fee since they can get it. At least for now.

Why is it my problem if DirecTV's core service sucks so bad that people wouldn't pay for it if not for a monopoly on NFLST?

I currently pay $35/month for SlingTV and Netflix. My DirecTV bill before I quit was about $100/month higher than that. Add NFLST on top of that, and we're talking like $1500 per year just to watch the Chiefs.

There's no ****ing way on this planet that's a reasonable thing to ask to watch about 6 games of football that I wouldn't otherwise get over the air.
