Cubs fans aren't the only fans deserving of a congratulations on this fine day. I'd like to congratulate you and your team on extending Matheny for another 3 years.

Man LMAO you got it bad, dont you?

You're right though, Cardinal fans are spoiled rotten... and act like it, you guys are like the Pats or Steelers fans of MLB

Jenny Gump 11-03-2016 02:40 PM

Totally agree. You will get no argument from me. However, just because I publicly recognize that I'm spoiled doesn't mean I won't throw tantrums when I don't get my way.

I don't think he'll be in the parade, but he should definitely throw out the first pitch on opening day 2017.

Bartman just assumes to tell Chicago to kiss his white :moon:

Chicago wanted him dead they were going to pulverize him if they didn't sneak him out of the stadium and he had death threats. He hasn't made himself available to media and he has been offered Hundreds of thousands of dollars just for an interview and tickets to the WS if Cubs ever go. Well he didn't take em up for that offer. I believe he just wants to be left alone and have nothing to do with Chicago and I don't blame him. I have great respect for Bartman not wanting any of the attention he had done nothing to deserve any of that kind of harassment during the game and on tv or any of it.

From what I've heard he still goes to Cubs games, but its been so long that he can do it without fear of anything because no one recognizes him.

Fair enough

But after the Chiefs win several championships and have multiple playoff seasons in the next decade or so, I'll stand and cheer for the Chargers when they finally win the big one

Huh that maybe true but I've never heard that cuz supposedly he went to live in Florida or somewhere and didn't want nothing to do with Chicago but I'm sure he still was a fan for the team he grew up rooting for. I don't know why he wouldn't want "cash in" for the gluttony he was put through but at the same time I admire him for not.

I respect him more for not.

He lives and works for a financial company in Chicago.

Only watched Game 7, but what an amazing game. Really regret not watching the rest of the series. What a way to pull it together and win 3 straight to take the crown. Grats Cubs.

He probably doesn't need the money and is content and just wants to be left alone that's cool for him.

Also I'd like to say

I didn't watch any of the WS and not curr who won it I'm happy that the ROYALS are 2015 World Series Champions!!!! Hellz yes!

I wonder what percentage of Cubs fans live outside of Chicago and have no ties there?

How many grew up with them on WGN Superstation?

Live outside of Chicago but still close enough for WGN games.

KCUnited 11-03-2016 03:38 PM

Depends on how you define ties. There's a lot of major universities fairly close to Chicago. Lot of kids from ND, Michigan/St, Iowa/St, Wisconsin graduate, move to Chicago, live and work for a bit, claim the Cubbies!, and move on.
