As a result, our player personnel is getting better starting wise and depth wise.

However, I still don't feel optimistic and hopeful that the Chiefs will win a SuperBowl.

The problem with this team lies within the coaching and quarterback.

Even though Alex Smith is a winner, I never seen him as a guy that could carry a team through controversy. If the Chiefs are losing, forget it. Their chances of coming back to win a football game aren't good. Alex Smith isnt the guy that will be engineering game tying or winning drives. He is the main reason why the Chiefs aren't a come from behind team.

Combine that with the fact the Chiefs have a coach in Andy Reid that doesn't know how to manage a game clock or call sensible plays at the right time when needed be and also Sutton can't make defensive adjustments during games.

It's the same sh*t. Don't forget this folks. Let's keep this reality in perspective and remember these are the reasons the Chiefs won't win a SuperBowl under this regime.

Wow. Coming back from 1-5 to win 11 straight, and you have fans saying stupid shit like this?

Good grief. One of the worst takes I've seen on CP in a while.

I don't think he was talking in terms of coming back from a losing streak to lead a team on a winning streak.

But I also am ready to wait and see how Smith fares with some actual weapons at his disposal in games that the Chiefs fall behind in.

Over the course of that winning streak last year, Smith showed his ability to make plays.

I knew what he meant, and it's still ridiculous. If he was good enough to come back from that "controversy", I don't see why you'd be concerned about his ability to do so in a single game now that we likely have an above average OL and a healthy amount of weapons at every position.

Also, would that Buffalo game last year not count? All things considered, he was also pretty ****ig good in that last playoff game with no Maclin.

I think it's simple.

It will always be hard to win a Superbowl with an average QB.

But look, Denver just did it last year and I consider the Chiefs were good enough and had the team to win a SuperBowl last year.

This being said, I don't think it's out of question that Smith might play like a top 10 QB this year.

This is not what I mean.

You've misinterpreted my post.

Im referring to situations like the New England playoff game last year when the Chiefs were down by I don't remember exactly 10 or 14 points whatever it was late in the 4th....Put him in situations like that on the road in a hostile playoff environment, I feel confident he won't help his team come back and win the game. That's all I'm saying bro.

Would you feel comfortable or confident that Smith could come through for his team in such a particular situation? I'm guessing you probably wouldn't.

It'll be interesting to see how he bodes with a new and improved Oline. Also, more weapons and added depth to the offense.

He has a better cast around him that could make him a top 10 QB.

It's not that he has zero capacity to come back from being down in a game. However, I think he is too married to the idea of never throwing picks. If you are ahead, or the game is still early, fine. But when the team is behind later in the game, I think he needs to take more chances. Some games it will result in more picks (games that likely would have been losses anyway) but overall I think it would improve our record.

Andy and Sutton need to turn the OLB position into a full on open competition these next couple weeks IMO.

Put some pressure on Ford. Cause we can't field that crap that he put on tape Saturday. Let the best man win and start across Hali week 1.

I think it is now or never for Alex Smith... it has to be.

4th Year in the same system and every department of the Chiefs offense will be upgraded. No more excuses.
