Maclin is going to be huge for this offense...Bowe was a sloth. It's not just that he's a better suited WR for Reid's offense....it's he is going to make life easier for those around him. Nobody was worried about Bowe getting behind them..he was a major score for this team.

Maclin should be a huge improvement over Bowe in Reid's system and fit better with Smith's abilities but people seem to speak of him as if he's Megatron or something.

Outside of Maclin KC has a bunch of track stars who really haven't proven a damn thing.

Since I actually think Maclin is going to be a downgrade from Bowe, it's entirely possible.

We definitely upgraded over the most overrated player in Chiefs history (Bowe).
Maclin can do everything Bowe can't aka run fast, separate and catch consistently.

2-5 WR is a big unknown...until Conley starts quieting the haters.

And Bowe can do things Maclin can't.

Chiefs will certainly miss his down-field blocking... that's for damn sure. Dude was a beast.

That's not what Reid and Alex want nor need.

It's why Bowe was able to put up very good numbers with crap QB's. His game was predicated on out muscling the defender for the ball in a general area.

His game is not about precision cuts and timing, which is exactly what Reid's version of the Edwards West Coast system is about.
