Reid wasn't going to say it, even if he does plan on firing Sutton. No NFL coach is going to do that the day after a loss.

That being said, I doubt Sutton loses his job after one year when half of that year the defense "appeared" to be very good. The most we can hope for is additions to the staff that can shore up Sutton's weaknesses.

I don't need this shit. The last 6 weeks, it was like riding in a balloon as all the hot air slowly leaks out and the ground just keeps getting closer...

I feel like for the last 10-15 years this organization has had a serious disconnect with the fans. They had to have known what that game meant to this city and to the fans. There was 20 years of frustration and pain riding on that game and they blew it. The players don't care, they get paid regardless of the outcome. It's the coaches responsibility to make them understand that there was more than a win or a loss at stake. This IMO is the biggest letdown of all time and I dated a fat girl one time for almost a year.

Two way better defensive coordinators that probably won't get a head coaching gig anywhere are available. When obvious upgrades are out there, you should go for them.

sure, but Reid is Reid.

So, Sutton stays - fine. Require him to rotate players, and for ****'s sake, get him some ****ing DBs!!

The only time I can clearly remember good players overcoming bad coaching is the '95 and '97 defenses we had.

If Sutton can't manage the game from his end or make adjustments, then what's the point?

Because good head coaches don't make decisions based on fans' bloodlust.

My feelings exactly. the way things were from, say, 1990-97...

it's long gone.

Let's pray to Jesus somebody "lures" away Bob Sutton.

mcaj22 01-05-2014 01:25 PM

even Eric Mangini was smart enough to demote Bob Sutton

The fans shouldn't have anything to do with it. Andy had a front row seat to view that abortion of an effort his defense gave.

I'll give it some time. It's all I have as a Chiefs fan, apparently.

Hopefully whoever wants him didn't catch that game yesterday or watch any TV or read the papers.

Guess what - another ROAD LOSS to a good QB. Get it now??? Sutton is GRob part Deaux - he needs to be let go now. Otherwise more of the same against good QB's and it won't matter if they face them at home /road / regular season or playoffs. The result will be the same.

Wait let me get this straight, we have lost the games we have to good QB's?

**** me, I hadn't noticed that when I listed them before the Indy game.

TEX 01-05-2014 01:27 PM

Sutton is GRob part Deaux. There is definitely a problem there that can't be ignored.
