I wondered the same thing. At first I figured it must have been goatse due to how horrified everybody was. N-word with no context purely for the purpose of winning a "ban me" contest seems like it would be one of the milder (but still ban-worthy) offenses.

It's weird the way that term has evolved. Nobody uses it generically anymore except black folks. White people know not to say it. It's not even used to deride people anymore. It's just a generic "f you", an intent to cause offense without really saying anything meaningful. It's almost not even racist anymore in a weird way. It used to be the mark of ignorance, now it's jus the mark of... What, generic low-brow stupid?
