C'mon KSU friends...they last thing you want is Self leaving. Then we'll just steal Martin away. You don't want that.
|
You think KU will go after Calipari?

I'm told #Mizzou is not a high priority in Big Ten's immediate plans but not totally out of the picture. Process could last months half a minute ago via UberTwitter

NickAthan: I'm told #Mizzou will be joining the Big Ten and the Chiefs are talking to the Jets about Darrelle Revis for a player to be named later.

Self said that KU "will be in a BCS conference" and that "there is no other option."

Other than that, he was obviously nervous and just gave an honest opinion of the situation from his point of view. |
Is this the largest thread about conference realignment on the entire internet or what?

self is always reassuring even when he has really no specific info.....rad dude |
Big East would be much, much better than SEC.

the Pac-10 would probably be my last choice for KU but i'm not gonna complain.
Better a BCS than nuttin 1. ACC 2. Big 10 3. Big East 4. SEC 5. Pac-10 6. creating a new BCS conference of some kind |
wtf is the attraction of rutgers?

Minnesota is 25, MSU, Iowa and Indiana are 29th. so they fit academically, based on those rankings at least. |

There are currently 67 football teams in BCS conferences. It looks like there are going to end up being 4 conferences with 16 teams each or 64 total. Assuming that no mid-majors wind up in the new conferences, only 3 teams will be left out. Smart money says that these 3 teams include Iowa State. The question is who the other 2 teams will be. |

should be interesting if the MSU job opens up... |
Call me crazy or delusional, but I am not worried about KU's chances of joining a conference. The only thing that would cause me great worry is if we said K-State was a must have, and turned down offers to stay with them.

1. Big 10 2. SEC (football money) 3. Big East (probably the best for basketball) 4. Pac-10 5. ACC Other than the big 10 and SEC...if KU, KSU, ISU, MISSOURI could somehow poach Cincinnati, W Virginia, Memphis, Louisville, and a few other schools that would be a the ultimate scenario. I'm sure as one of the large ranking football revenue schools in the Big East, they get sick of having to be in the same conference as some of those other schmucks. If football is driving it, why not just make a new conference w/ those teams. You think Marquette, Providence, Villanova, Seton Hall, & St Johns have pull in that conference? I would think the football schools the Big 10 doesn't poach would love to move. Create a new conference that would be decent at football, and good at basketball. I don't really see KU to the ACC is a viable option at all The Mnt West/WAC is not an option unless you fill it w/ some other Big East/ACC teams and only have to use a couple like Utah, BYU, Boise State etc. |
