I know where I'm going, and I doubt D takes him.

We're making good time. Things usually slow down on the weekends during the mock.

Yep. This happens every year. We make good time during the week and slow to a crawl over the weekend.

Hell, we really only need to average around 30 picks a week to finish - even fewer if we don't add in the compensatory picks.

We're fine.

It's strange D isn't around with a top 5 list because I'm up in a few picks.:)

RealSNR 03-14-2010 05:55 PM

Damn. I had a real hum-dinger of a pick prepared for #69 to the Raiders.

Mecca 03-14-2010 05:56 PM

I like how I missed a pick and it's the Meccadebacle. I'm sorry I was getting laid, that's more important than drafting some indian from Oklahoma!

You still have that pick. From the OP, March 8th:

The draft order is now final, with the exception of possible compensatory picks. As in past years, if the NFL announces an official list of compensatory picks BEFORE we finish the 3rd round, I'll add them in. If not, the draft order currently listed will remain. Any trades made in real life will NOT change the mock order from this moment on - personally, it's just too much work, and you run the risk of a pick being traded in real life after it's been made here in the mock.

Just relax, playboy. It's just the fact that anyone missing a top-five pick is going to catch some ****.

Hey OTW, did you get my PM about the Ravens/Cardinals trade? You gave Arizona Baltimore's picks in the 5th round and it should be the other way around.

Sfeihc 03-14-2010 06:32 PM

I'd like to take this time to reflect on the first two rounds and the two teams I drafted for; Detroit and the NYG.

With the Lions passing on Suh and McCoy is on the same level of mistake of passing on Michael Oher last season. However, having had a front row seat for the entire Jeff Backus era at LT for the Lions it has been a cornerstone of their epic futility. By drafting Okung that wrong had been righted. Backus can slide inside and two positions on the Ol are instantly better.
The Lions needed a cornerback who can come in and play right away and Devin McCoutry gives them that plus excellent special teams play.
With these two picks and their other off season acquisitions the Lions can now field a starting lineup without a major void. This alone is a major accomplishment in the wake of the Millen era..

With the Giants, drafting Graham is a no-brainer. I almost took him at 2. God Bless his Maize and Blue heart. Washington in the second is a perfect example of when value meets need. Those two added to Rolle give the Giants a very nice influx of talent on defense.

Yeah, I was on campus when I read it and forgot to make the change when I got home.

It's fixed now. Thanks for the reminder.

Sfeihc 03-14-2010 07:04 PM

Should D get an extra hour because of the time change?:)
