probably more, but those were the highlights I heard on 610 just now.

I honestly haven't been keeping up on the rumors, and I know this is totally "fed ex guy level", but I read on facebook just now that Billy to Seattle is basically done. The guy who wrote about it is apparently friends with Greg Genske? who is fatboy's agent I guess.
I wouldn't put a ton of stock into it, but anyone see names floating around in the rumor mill on how this would actually play out?? I can't imagine Billy has any value in bringing back a good prospect...certainly not any of their young arms.

No clue what it would bring back at this point, but it would be a very weird stuation.
Wildcard competitor trades a player to the team it is chasing in the wildcard? Weird indeed.
Just based on that, I'd imagine the price might be even a little higher than it normally would be. I suspect the Royals would get prospects back - probably something a little farther away from MLB.
And the Royals would absolutely have to do it as step 1 of a two-step plan that involves bringing in another bat. Butler has been a big disappointment this year, but he still has more upside from a planning perspective than just deciding to go with Ibanez/Dyson in some form of platoon.
