Apparently Peacock is sanitizing the shit out of the WWE. If you dug attitude expect it to look very different.

For example the DX nation parody is completely gone. So suffice to say this move to peacock sucks.

The Cesaro-Seth Rollins match was awesome.

Shane McMahon took a huge bump.

The New Day match had its moment.

Probably the best women’s match I’ve ever seen as the main event.

Bad Bunny did way better than I would’ve guessed. Normally they protect celebs, but he had a full workload. The destroyer spot was incredible.

The real clunker was the women's tag match.

Too many slapped together teams and the lamest ****ing team won.

Strowman and Shane was not very good, either.

Rest of the matches were at least solid and Bad Bunny was not the weak link in the match (miz and morrison).

Can't complain overall for night one.

I pretty much agree. Outside of Shane’s bump, the cage match was meh. I was hoping that Braun would throw Shane through an announce table from the top of the cage. More dramatic bump for Shane, but also gives Shane the win by Braun being an idiot to play into that angle.

I sort of knew going in that it would be a let down since they didn't want to do spots around the crowd, but woof. It was really lacking.

Sasha and Bianca was really good at least.

I had VERY low expectations, so I was pretty pleased with the show overall.

The atmosphere of having fans back really made a big difference.

Bad Bunny impressed me so much. Props to miz and Morrison for helping him too.

Just don't think wrestling is entertaining these days.

I've seen this rumor and it's the first thing about wrestling to get me excited in forever...

WWE will be in full panic mode if that happens. There's a large demographic of people who have stopped watching Wrestling because the product of the last decade was just that bad.

If AEW manages to get both of those guys or at least CM Punk it would be a monumental game changer. That same demographic, me included, would tune in at least once just to give AEW a fair shot.

The deals are done by pretty much all accounts…give me Danielson in the G1 please.

That rumor is coming from someone in WWE management, they apparently tried to negotiate with Punk and came away believing he was signing or already signed with AEW.

They're leaking it to try to make his return not surprising and hurt it.

Here's the problem. Bray is a creative guy and he's interesting but he was completely hurt by the WWE having this desire to make all top dudes work 35 minute matches. Why can't he work a 10 minute match that was fine in wrestlings most popular era?

As cool as the Fiend was for a bit, it’s almost impossible the name a good Fiend match. Probably the best wasn’t even really a match. The John Cena “match” at Wrestlemania was probably the high point.

It got over though...I wasn't the biggest fan but to a lot of people it was over, he sold the most merch at 1 point. Then they ****ed it up.

Bray Wyatt was released by WWE in what he was told was a "budget cut" on July 31.

Fightful was told that Johnny Ace made the call, and also sent a notification out to shocked WWE talent moments before the news broke online that Wyatt had been released.

The notion of a budget cut immediately surprised those within WWE, as Wyatt is known as being a great merch seller whenever he's actually active. One source indicated that Wyatt was a money maker for the company when that's the case.

In the hour following the release, we're told that Wyatt's name was actually brought up during another recent round of cuts. There have been multiple wrestlers that were discussed, but ended up being held on to. We've seen Observer's report that Wyatt was slated for a return in August, and we can confirm tentative creative plans were in place for him.

Fightful has been told that the creative team had been relayed that Wyatt was getting protective of his character after what were seen as poor creative decisions and ideas thrown his way, though many members of the team didn't speak to Wyatt directly and weren't sure if it was hearsay.

Wonder if AEW does the blatantly obvious and plugs him in as the leader of the Dark Order.

AEW will definitely have a contract ready for him the first minute that non-compete is over.

Yep. WWE really dropped the ball with the Wyatt Family. There was potential there for a dominant heel faction, but it they were never booked to win...and they never gained any traction because of it.

So Allegiant Stadium (the Raiders’ new stadium in Vegas) is hosting WWE Summerslam tonight.
They are cashless, but their credit card machines aren’t working so you can’t buy food/drinks/gear. On top of that, they’re not allowing pyro, which is a big part of pro wrestling.

While I am probably in the minority, I think AEW went a little overboard on the CM Punk debut. I get it was in his hometown, it felt a little like watching a return of John Cena or The Rock.

Yeah, I'm with you on Edge/Seth and Bobby/Goldberg. I just didn't care. It just seems like the WWE is playing for cheap applause these days rather than putting out a real quality show. I still like it overall, but it feels like there are as many misses as hits these days. I mean, voodoo dolls. Come on.

I think they need to get over this idea that they can anoint someone into being the next Hogan or Rock, push several people up together, and let the best one rise on their own. They seem to be doing okay with Big E and Priest and (until last night, maybe) Biance Belair, but they're seriously sitting on the likes of Liv Morgan and Ricochet. It's puzzling.

I'm not a big CM Punk fan, but I may start watching AEW if Bray Wyatt shows up. I really liked how well they treated Brodie Lee's family; that deserves respect.

Oh, but not to worry. You also have a trip back to Saudi Arabia to look forward to.
