Sounds like he was beloved by pretty much everybody. Bray Wyatts post is pretty touching.
|
Yeah it sucked ass. He was doing really well in aew. I so wanted to see him vs archer.
|
So WWE Network is getting eaten by Peacock.
Whole network library as well as every live ppv will be available with ads for 4.99 a month. Ad free for 9.99. |
LMAO Insane they still keep getting these sweetheart deals.
|
God Damn Shaq was impressive.

For example the DX nation parody is completely gone. So suffice to say this move to peacock sucks. |
Peacock ****ing sucks so far.
I live watching old 90’s wrestling, but it’s painful now. You can’t jump from match to match or segment to segment like you could on WWE Network. The search function doesn’t work for shit either. WWE Network was by far the best part of WWE and now they ruined it. I can’t describe how much worse it is. |

Pretty damn good night 1.
The Cesaro-Seth Rollins match was awesome. Shane McMahon took a huge bump. The New Day match had its moment. Probably the best women’s match I’ve ever seen as the main event. |
Bad Bunny did way better than I would’ve guessed. Normally they protect celebs, but he had a full workload. The destroyer spot was incredible.
|
The real clunker was the women's tag match.
Too many slapped together teams and the lamest ****ing team won. Strowman and Shane was not very good, either. Rest of the matches were at least solid and Bad Bunny was not the weak link in the match (miz and morrison). Can't complain overall for night one. |

Sasha and Bianca was really good at least. |

The atmosphere of having fans back really made a big difference. |
Bad Bunny impressed me so much. Props to miz and Morrison for helping him too.

Just don't think wrestling is entertaining these days.
I was spoiled during 1997-2001. Today's product just doesn't compare. |
Wetslemania! Am i right?

I hope Kevin Owens powerbombs whichever Logan **** they decided needed to be a part of the match between him and Zayn off the giant pirate ship and through Tom Brady´s ASS
|
What the hell was that?
|
Fans sounded pissed about that one. Probably not a good start when the fans boo the opener that features 3 huge names.
|
Night 2 was hot ****ing garbage.

CM Punk and Bryan Danielson pretty heavily rumored for AEW.

If AEW manages to get both of those guys or at least CM Punk it would be a monumental game changer. That same demographic, me included, would tune in at least once just to give AEW a fair shot. |
The deals are done by pretty much all accounts…give me Danielson in the G1 please.

I think we’ve officially hit “Vince is legit senile and no one in the company has the balls to tell him about his booking” or they’re trolling everyone because the show don’t matter to them with the guaranteed TV $$$…
Like I’ve always joked about it but I’m a believer now lol…. Thank God for AEW… |

They basically get to a point of not caring because of Vince. |
Bray Wyatt released.....
|
That's sad. Pretty sure Brodie Lees death hit him really hard. Pretty sure I read he was having a lot of problems dealing with the grief.

Nick Khan literally does not care if he thinks you make to much money you're cut. |
The Fiend and the Firefly Funhouse was one of the best gimmicks in years. Yet, the WWE shit the bed repeatedly. Especially on the biggest stages. Disappointing.

We get to see Jericho vs Juventud this week, right? Excited to see them wrestle again. They were both awesome in ‘97. I’ve heard Juvi can still bring it.

Bray Wyatt was a lot more over as a basic swamp creature until they fed his entire crew to Cena over and over. |
Per Fightful
Bray Wyatt was released by WWE in what he was told was a "budget cut" on July 31. Fightful was told that Johnny Ace made the call, and also sent a notification out to shocked WWE talent moments before the news broke online that Wyatt had been released. The notion of a budget cut immediately surprised those within WWE, as Wyatt is known as being a great merch seller whenever he's actually active. One source indicated that Wyatt was a money maker for the company when that's the case. In the hour following the release, we're told that Wyatt's name was actually brought up during another recent round of cuts. There have been multiple wrestlers that were discussed, but ended up being held on to. We've seen Observer's report that Wyatt was slated for a return in August, and we can confirm tentative creative plans were in place for him. Fightful has been told that the creative team had been relayed that Wyatt was getting protective of his character after what were seen as poor creative decisions and ideas thrown his way, though many members of the team didn't speak to Wyatt directly and weren't sure if it was hearsay. |
Wonder if AEW does the blatantly obvious and plugs him in as the leader of the Dark Order.
|
AEW will definitely have a contract ready for him the first minute that non-compete is over.

On top of that CM Punk is well CM Punk and Bryans on the way. AEW is where it's at. |
Some notes from the presser
CM Punk says he's been talking to Tony Khan for about a year and a half about coming to AEW CM Punk says a lot of time in talks with AEW, they said the same things at the same times. Said wrestling doesn't need to be as hard as people pretend it needs to be. You don't need 16 cooks in the kitchen CM Punk says AEW lets people learn from their mistakes, and a generation of wrestlers had been told prior that if they messed up, they were fired CM Punk said that the roster, and people around AEW not saying anything about Brodie Lee's illness before his passing made a big impression on him CM Punk: "If (Tony Khan) tells me he wants me to go do the G1, we'll talk about it." Says he wants to swim in the AEW pool for a while |

1SttSponhsoredSo · So Allegiant Stadium (the Raiders’ new stadium in Vegas) is hosting WWE Summerslam tonight. They are cashless, but their credit card machines aren’t working so you can’t buy food/drinks/gear. On top of that, they’re not allowing pyro, which is a big part of pro wrestling. Only the Raiders. Fail. |
Yay Brock Lesnar for the 37th time…oh and with Roman…HOW FRESH PAL.

WWE deserves to go bankrupt for what they did to Bianca

Edge vs. Seth Rollins....why? Got nothing out of that pairing. The Lashley- Goldberg pairing....another waste. I could go on...but you get the picture. The WWE lost it's direction a long time ago and it is painfully evident more than ever now. While I am probably in the minority, I think AEW went a little overboard on the CM Punk debut. I get it was in his hometown, it felt a little like watching a return of John Cena or The Rock. |
Quote:
I think they need to get over this idea that they can anoint someone into being the next Hogan or Rock, push several people up together, and let the best one rise on their own. They seem to be doing okay with Big E and Priest and (until last night, maybe) Biance Belair, but they're seriously sitting on the likes of Liv Morgan and Ricochet. It's puzzling. I'm not a big CM Punk fan, but I may start watching AEW if Bray Wyatt shows up. I really liked how well they treated Brodie Lee's family; that deserves respect. |

Unfortunately it looks like the Oldberg-Lashley feud isnt over, although hopefully WWE takes a ****ing hint and cuts it off now seeing as the crowd popped huge for Lashley taking out Sonberg instead of booing.

Have Sasha lose to Bianca and then have Becky come out and win a squash. It would’ve been funny to see WWE at least poke fun at themselves if they’re going to have a pointless squash match anyway. A real match would’ve been awesome, and any squash was going to suck. At least make it funny. |
