This might be a bit early, but the Cards GM likes this player and realizes that he won't be there in the third. And the needs along the D-line need to be addressed. Additionally, though there are serious needs at OT, there will be comparable talent to be had later. Thus, the Cardinals select:

Cam Thomas, NT, North Carolina

I continue with my ass kicking of this mock. The Cowboys already selected a stud LT and I will continue with my true fan mock for them. But this case is warranted. The guard I am taking I believe is the best overall offensive lineman in this class. While Brown in the 1st is sort of a project, I think this selection will start right now for the Da Boys.

K, I need some time to figure this out. I was gonna take Cook here, with Cam Thomas as my backup pick. Both of those are out.

So I'm thinking a few things:

2. The Chargers need a replacement at CB, but they can play around a bit. It's not like an instant starter is needed here.
3. I'd like to see Gilyard for the Chargers because I like him a lot, but 2nd round is too early. May not happen, but oh well.

Which leads me to my pick. He's got all the tools to be able to succeed at the next level. A little raw, but he's still young and he works hard. I like the potential a lot here.
