I didn’t realize that almost all of Key’s sacks this year came from rushing inside.

Turned me off a little.

What I like about Key was the shit-sandwich he had to eat in 2018. Y'all remember that Oakland pass rush? It was historically awful. I mean there was NOTHING there and they bring this 3rd round rookie to come in and take over for Mack.

And no, he didn't produce a ton, but he battled his ass off man. And he did generate an okay number of pressures and QB Hits. It told me that the kid isn't a quitter and he's likely going to maintain a high motor.

And then to see him translate that into any success at all at SF is another encouraging sign.

I just remember watching those Raiders games and feeling sorry for this poor kid that got thrown to the wolves but being impressed by the fact that he never did just pack it in.

I mean, that’s great and all, but I really don’t see a place for him on this defense. He’s not a strong run defender on the edge, so he’d basically be a designated inside pass rusher.

I think they’re counting on Hill and OBJ’s contracts to create the cap space necessary. Maybe Thuney’s bonus if they really see someone they want.
