Seems to me that inviting Texas to join your league is like a town getting a Walmart - good for economy until you realize that everything else around it has been destroyed. |

And if Texas does go to the Big 10, I want no part of it. I want to get away from those one who sucks the peniss, not be part of their entourage.

The media is just running with this. All the "may be" xrap is just naked speculation.
Even in the absence of any developments a media org needs to publish a quantity of material in proportion to the level of interest in that story. So the speculate, most of the writers knowing little even compared to the fans following the situation. Then you have people like Kietzman and others whose perception is that basketball is relevant at all. Other than a month in March, it's nowhere in the same universe of importance. That is just the lay of the land. America has a huge appetite for the NFL and similarly less for the NBA. Posted via Mobile Device |
Oklahoma's AD has already said its going where Texas goes. OU is nothing without its Texas recruits.

If in the end, we end up with four 16 team conferences, do you think the NCAA might discuss adding one extra game a year to all teams' schedules?

I wonder how much of this is to counter the strength or gain leverage on the NCAA? At least people aren't trying to disguise it as being about academics any longer. |

We really should rename this thread. This has been a great place to come, talk, post stories, etc. Now that all of these other schools are getting involved, there will be all kinds of threads to keep up with full of people repeating themselves. I like getting on and knowing I can come here to read back and find out the latest happenings. JMO

You know, I had never of Chip Brown prior to a couple of days ago, but now I really hope he runs into the AIDS tree and drowns in a pool of antifreeze.

Nebraska fans are the Bronco fans of College Football.
I'd look forward to watching the Hawkeyes beat the Tiggers until the candy comes out on a regular basis....It'd be like another warmup game. |
This is ****ed now. My faith just went out the window. ****.

Keitzman is right here.
Perkins can't hang out for a year as a lame duck right now with all that's going on. |

Just looking at the current "speculation" that OSU might end up in a power conference, the Pac 10. Pickens having all that money, and it being Bill's alma mater, is why I say what I do. |

So I have a friend who works in I.T. in the athletic department at Mizzou and I asked him on what was going on there on facebook. He replied, "We are proud members of the Big12 conference." :cuss:
