They did that in Feb. though, after the season was over... like a normal team. We're a month away from training camp.

If they're worried about him wasting money, I wonder why it doesn't factor in that he continually pumped out 10m talent out of sub $1m players. Veterans, not draft picks. See Jaye Howard, Terrance Mitchell, Ron Parker, Spencer ware, etc.....

I don't think it came down to one, singular reason. We may never know the full story. We also do not know where blame and credit should be given in regards to putting the Chiefs together. I'm still a life long Chiefs fan until they pull a shitty Raiders move, or become an organization of filth like the Broncos, which will never happen, because Chiefs.

But damn if this doesn't make the 2017 season interesting.

What if Hunt wanted him to sign a longer contract than he would? Maybe the negotiation wasn't the money part?
