Yeah, mis-typed that. Like I said, I was pretty drunk when I typed it.

Dude is like 230 lbs.

The one player that I'm wanting to fall to the Vikes is alive and well, still. I still give him a 1 in 3 chance to make it to me.

Jason Peters is lazy and isn't worth the contract that he was given. So with their 2nd round pick the Eagles take a LT a smaller school. He won't have to start right away in his rookie season...so he'll have a year to get up to speed.

The Philadelphia Eagles select Jared Veldheer, OT, Hillsdale.

Meh.

LMAO You're on Direckshun's list this year. It was me a year or two ago. He blasted me for drafting Flacco in the 2nd round with the Ravens. ;)

Green Bay once again is a team that employs best player available strategy. I know many would assume CB would be the pick here but Woodson can still play, Harris and Lee will return from IR, Tramon Williams is still there not to mention they like Brandon Underwood who was a rookie last year and all that translates to 2nd round being a little high there..

So I'm going to take another player who can step in and contribute right away..with Atari Bigby's severe detriment to pass defense and really his ideal role being as a role playing box safety backup type and the outstanding value of this guy still being here...

Green Bay selects, Morgan Burnett, S, Georgia Tech.

Hey Mecca, could you update the thread starter to change the Reshad Jones position to SS? Thanks

Mecca 03-13-2010 06:40 PM

Anymore we really should just put S, most safeties are either or these days.

Yeah, good point

Mecca 03-13-2010 06:53 PM

Thanks for that pick though, I think Burnett is a borderline 1st rounder and I was wondering if one of the teams in front of me would take him.

Yeah, I considered Burnett. I have pretty even grades on him and Reshad Jones though

Mecca 03-13-2010 06:59 PM

Burnetts before far more productive though, he also I think transitions to the pro game better.

http://www.draftcountdown.com/Scouti...an-Burnett.php

Look at his stats, specifically 2008, that's elite production. This safety class being good drops him a bit but in many years this guy would go 1st round.

In the first round, Baltimore got the "receiver" it wanted in a TE position. This pick, they get value in the much needed secondary, where there are question marks.

The Baltimore Ravens select Chris Cook, CB, University of Virgina.
