Suh hasn't been cheap. He was $9M last year with $6.8M of dead money for 2022. If Suh signs for cheap, it would be if he thought he could get one more ring.

I was actually referring to Quinn's $11m, but Suh's price isn't all that much either and we have $14.7m in cap space according to Overthecap.com.

I'm all for it, but Veach seems to have a "type" when it comes to FA signings at his position, and that type has been younger and cheaper than Suh to this point.

If Suh comes here, it will have to obviously be on a one year deal. But, maybe that's what Suh is looking for - a prove it deal on a perennial contender.

Tell both of them to play like it's a contract year bc we have Cap Space next year to extend/bring them back.

Gay, Bolton, Chenel

Sneed, Cook, Reid, McDuffie

That season was exception, not the rule with him. He had 2 sacks the season before in 15 games.

Hicks has signed w/ TB - another option off the board.

2 sacks is also the exception.

Again, Quinn one of about a half-dozen guys in NFL history with multiple 18+ sack seasons on his resume. He's had as many seasons with 18+ sacks in his NFL career as he's had seasons with fewer than 5 sacks.

Realistically he's probably a 9-10 sack guy most seasons. I'd say he's a higher ceiling version of Tamba Hali.

I very much agree with this. I'm just not willing to pay for 18.5. Im willing to pay for the likely 10 sack guy.

People have unrealistic thoughts about "10 sack guys".

They're ****ing hard to come by and if you get one it's gonna cost.

10 sack guys cost differently than 18.5 sack guys though.

Especially when theyre on the back 9.
