The best part is that his irrelevant team kept stringing him along until the final day of the season. They basically had everything go right for 4 weeks straight in terms of the outcomes they needed to make it and then the Chiefs just flatly didn't even try to play a competitive game once it became realistic.

Such a fitting ending.
