JPP looked like a veteran that hit the wall last year.
If we sign Dunlop and/or trade for Quinn, we would probably be the favorites to win the Super Bowl. |
Colin Kaepernick working out for Raiders.
Raiders trying to take the distraction off Mark Davis lol. |
Why?
We don't need that worthless showboat. Dumb move by Mark. He is such a PC guy. |

So hilariously stupid for the Raiders. Please, create a completely unnecessary distraction for your team. And also potentially detract from Carr’s confidence (even though there’s zero chance they’d put Kaepernick in a game considering he’s completely incompetent). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I understand when a team is short on cap space, they can create a contract with some void years built in to allow the kicking of the can down the road.
BUT - Cleveland Browns have $24M of cap space right now. They created a 2022 contract for Jadeveon Clowney for $10 M that guarantees $9,250,000. The cap this year for Cleveland with this contract is $3,467.647. Cleveland gets Clowney this year for about $3.5 but they are paying for it with 4 void years to handle the bonus money. https://overthecap.com/player/jadeveon-clowney/2940/ I wonder because this is the Cleveland Browns. Is this good cap management built on future years of NFL cap growth? I know more teams are doing this, but it seems it eats away your cap in future years. |
Better get Kyle Orton on the phone, Joshy

The San Francisco 49ers currently have the worse cap space in the NFL with $673,752.
If they cut QB Jimmy Garoppolo, they gain $25,550,000 of cap space and they only have $1.4 M of dead money for that move. I'm guessing they want to trade him but not many teams really want him or can afford to add his $24.2 base. Maybe the Carolina Panthers but could just wait until he gets cut. https://overthecap.com/salary-cap/san-francisco-49ers/ Probably should be careful about what I wish for, but I would rather play Trey Lance on Oct 23, so hope 49ers cut Jimmy. |

"You're getting two players out of the deal! How is this not fair?!" They probably saw all these veteran QBs going for 1st round picks and thought they should start the bidding at that level for a solid veteran who has been to two conference championship games and just wins baby! Not once did the Niners think that other teams might not want Janeane (or at least wouldn't be interested in paying that much for him) for the same reasons that the Niners don't want Janeane. And now it's gotten to the point where teams can smell blood in the water and will wait out SF's dumb asses until they're forced to straight up cut him. |

Overthecap.com usually does a pretty good job of tracking future NFL comp picks.
https://overthecap.com/2023-compensa...ate-5-24-2022/ They now have the Chiefs getting a 6th round comp pick for the Melvin Ingram loss and a 7th round comp pick for Jarran Reed loss. It's not shown by the overthecap.com story because it is for players only, but we also have the 3rd round JC-2A pick for GM Ryan Poles going to the Chicago Bears. Now all we need is to have Eric Bieniemy get an NFL head coaching job after this season to add to our comp picks. Eric Bieniemy is the bestest, most superior coach in the whole wide NFL world and deserves to be hired as a head coach, and the Chiefs would like another comp pick. I guess that would actually be two. One in 2023 and another in 2024. |
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are turning to a new veteran for help on the defensive line.
Tampa Bay is signing former Bears and Saints defensive tackle Akiem Hicks to a one-year deal worth up to $10 million, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported, per a source. The one-year contract value is slightly higher than the $9 million Ndamukong Suh earned with the Buccaneers in 2021, a season in which Suh recorded six sacks and 27 tackles in 17 games. Hicks played in just nine games last year, finishing with 3.5 sacks and 25 tackles. At his peak, Hicks recorded 8.5 sacks and 15 tackles for loss for Chicago back in 2017, but hasn't broken four sacks in any of the last three campaigns. https://www.nfl.com/news/bucs-signin...-one-year-deal |
