Agree.

But this is at least entertaining. Hopefully Beane goes full Chernobyl.

You think Coleman makes a jump at all in year 2?

Hoover 04-28-2025 09:25 AM

I actually think Palmer was a good FA signing for them too.

Depends. When they drafted him, I thogiht it was an odd fit because I liked him most as a big slot.

But Shakir is their slot WR, and they just paid him.

Maybe they use him as an X, but it's not an ideal fit IMO.

They did what I often like seeing KC do, though. They did what we did in 2022.

They banked on their QB as a force multiplier, found areas of weakness that Allen CAN'T impact and attacked the shit out of them.

I think they had a fantastic draft. A ton of talent added at positions where Allen can't help them. And positions that they badly needed.

Now maybe they've reached the 'critical mass' moment that we hit with PM in 2024, but I kinda doubt it. This feels more like 2023 where the wheels were wobbling on the offense but there was enough for PM to make it work when he had to.

And the defense did a lot of heavy lifting for him in the interim.

I have a hard time finding anything wrong with that Buffalo draft at all. I'd rank that draft a pretty clean A on balance for them.

Yea, zero issues with their draft, but as a Chiefs fan I'm happy knowing that we added more to our weaponry they did offensively. On top of getting Rice back, just makes me feel good about that inevitable matchup.

Feels like only one team got better on both sides of the ball.

Nah.

Howie Roseman does that same stuff. Some of these 'modern' GMs are just a little more inclined to bark.

"This is what a rebuild looks like in KC..."

I mean call it irrational and unearned if you want, but this era of GMs has some guys that will talk back.

But Roseman has always been known for that. I don't think I've ever seen Beane act anything remotely close to that. Definitely felt out of character, and it just wasn't even something worth getting like that about honestly lol. He flat out called the guys dumb.

There's also a huge difference betweeen some general trash talk after winning a SB and ripping some radio guys for talking bad about your draft man.

I didn’t even know they extended Shakir. Honestly that’s a pretty bad contract. He’s fine but he pretty much reached his production limit last season and he’s just not that impactful. I guess that’s maybe the going rate though for 850 yards. And Coleman is not an answer. I expect more of the same with them abusing Allen. Credit to him though for making it mostly work. Not sure how long it can last.

I think we’ve seen the result of Mahomes constantly carrying those around him wear on him a bit that culminated in his rough season last year.

People give Allen too much credit. He has the best OL in the AFC, one of the best RBs, solid TEs, and one of the top OCs. He shouldn't need an elite WR room to move the ball.

In '22, KC had one of the most efficient offenses ever and won the SB with way less talent.

That felt like a desperate trade up after missing out on that first tier of DTs.

Sanders is better though. I never liked Tyleik Williams. He’s gonna “hustle for sacks” while Sanders is just really ****ing athletic, talented and relentless. I think they got that pick right.

The more I think about it the more I don’t like the Hairston pick. He’s small and slender and is a known liability against the run. Maybe it’s the Bills zone defense. But man from what I’ve read they wanted to get better in slot vs guys like Hollywood/Worthy, but I can totally see Andy destroying that gameplan but moving Rice in the slot vs him to beat the **** out of him and overpower him as a power slot.

They needed a DE badly IMO. I like Landon Jackson but I feel like it was their biggest need bc Bosa will get hurt. He will not stay healthy and now they’re ****ed.

Call it a reach, but man I would have taken Tuimoloau bc that kid is really good.

Also…this may be bc I didn’t like him. They traded up for a massive project in Deone Walker. I get he’s got size but he feels very Kingsley like to me. He’s gonna need a ton of work. Get Ty Robinson. That guy is strong and his rush is very good.

Idk I just saw stuff like this and think his size alone won’t work. Like Kingsley this kids technique is out of whack and will be a struggle for him at the next level.

Sanders is better than Tyleik?

LMAO

Why'd you save that garbage take for after the draft Run?

It's no longer a value and Buffalo took too long to play Shakir so they wasted years of his contract but he's their go to WR.

They are running their own version of the Sean Payton offense and

Payton offense needs

1 WR
1Elite RB
QB to make it work

Compare to Ben Johnson and

Shakir is their Ra

Cook is Gibbs

Allen makes the need for a JAMO unnecessary as he can play fullback and get free first downs at will.

Still doesn't matter, they will never beat us in a big game unless we are severely injured.

Mecca 04-28-2025 11:31 AM

Considering it looks like they have no interest in paying James Cook, how is this gonna work out?
