Lots of good things today:

Cozart growing into his role…

Defensive line looked much better.

Heeney playing his role.

Jacory Shepard is the real deal.

Freshman RBs fitting in just fine.

Look forward to a lot more Harwell next week. We finally have a decent return man.

Just a reminder... CMU lost at home to Syracuse 41-3.

Took us till the 4th to get a double-digit lead.

They also won big at Purdue

Good one. This team is garbage. 3 years in, tell me how much we have improved?

Look, I'm not sold on CW, either. But to say this team hasn't improved is just ignoring reality. It hasn't improved as much as we would like, but it's nowhere near as bad as it was under the college football version of Herm Edwards.

Just a little reminder. Warning: this video may induce uncontrollable vomiting.

They haven't improved. The Sagarin data under two years of Weis is identical to Gill. We barely beat an FCS school week one and were blown out by Duke. Weis is 3-22 now vs FBS schools.

Lets wait until he wins 2 conf games to declare any improvement

The problem with the way you're assessing things is that you're only looking at a small percentage of the data. Gill's program was a mess all around. Weis had to clean up things like academics, recruiting (not great but getting better), as well as the product on the field.

And the video I posted was just one example of the pathetic team that Gill ran. Historically bad. That team gave up a record 768 yards of offense to Georgia Tech that day. And that was the story of the season. They were allowing teams to score 40-70 points every week. Say what you want about Weis but his teams aren't making history in the way they lose like Gill's teams were.

To me, I think it's hard to say just exactly how bad of shape was the program in and how long should it take to make this program respectable again. I agree that it appears that Weis has not done enough and perhaps isn't the answer. I want to at least see how they perform against the Big 12 this year. If we don't see any progress this year then I will be ready to move on from Weis. But let's at least see what happens. New OC and a very inexperienced QB. I'm hoping they get the offense running a little better than it has looked the first 3 weeks.

Keep it within a TD vs Texas, and itll be a moral victory

Another year of getting beaten by an average of 9+ ppg in the Big 12 will be unacceptable.

You probably know more than me about this, but I just went over 2010 to 2014 recruiting rankings, and I think you would actually have to give the edge to Kansas. No argument that KSUs players developed into much better players once they got to campus. But from coming out of HS, it does not really appear to me either school really has had a recruiting advantage recently, even though one school cant even win 4 games a year

"ROCK CHALK CAKE WALK"

lol, that's a good one. Too bad MU never got to use that line.

KU opens +14.5 against Texas.

Run, don't walk to the window and put money on the Hawks.

Prison Bitch 09-21-2014 07:39 PM

IDK. Sagarin's predictor has it +19 with a -4.3 benefit for being at home so -14.5 is on point. I doubt we cover but I'll be there.

Charlie had them to the last play of the game in '12. And that team was garbage. I would hope he can keep it to within two touchdowns at home if not win outright.

Ummm. What?

I'm not taking the hawks no matter the spread. Mack Brown no longer coaches the University of Texas.
