The deal is done folks! |

Local vegas news just reported it as done? Weird, but they just said Reid is the new KC coach...

Another thing to watch for if Reid to #Chiefs happens is star-studded staff chock full of recognizable names. Band is getting back together. |

Why would Andy Reid still interview at <s style="text-decoration: initial; color: rgb(187, 102, 102);">#</s>Chargers? It was his No. 1 choice early, he has a home 30 mins from Chargers... and Philip Rivers. no |
I hate Reid and i hate this move

@RapSheet but but Ian? KC is the worst job opening? Hahaha bum Expand |

Hell, even McMidget might succeed under Reid. |
Is the video in that article old?

I'm not altogether for the hire, but I don't hate it. What I've always assumed is that he brought in too many new players, poisoning the well so to speak. It's hard to changed a veteran free agents frame of mind to match that of the culture you've instilled in your franchise. He simply may have brought in too many free agents too quickly, and it was a cancer that caused him to lose the locker room.
Says a lot to me that Vick, while defending Reid after his firing, blamed the guys in the locker room for Andy losing his job... |

KCTV is just "reporting" what's already been "reported" here -- tweets. Doesn't up the certainty at all.

BJ Kissel @bkissel7 Pretty sure Geno Smith is more likely with Reid. West coast system would fit him well. #Chiefs Expand Evan Silva @evansilva Another thing to watch for if Reid to #Chiefs happens is star-studded staff chock full of recognizable names. Wow Clark being directly asked about that the fans thought he didnt care about the team and was just being a business man

Howard Eskin @howardeskin
Glad to see @AdamSchefter is catching up to my reports 16 hours ago about Andy Reid and KC meeting and closing in on a deal. |
My initial reaction to Andy Reid getting fired from Philly was the man needs to step back at least one year and rejuvenate. I kind of thought with the issues involving his son and the seasons he's coached he might just be a little burned out. But what do I know what drives another man. Hopefully he will be ok.
Something that struck me as a little more troubling was this Quote:
|
C'mon guys, Andy Reid is like 350lbs. Obviously the man likes his food. Why the hell wouldn't he want to come to the barbeque capital of the world?

Ian is a bad reporter and he is just butt hurt about KC because he said we were the worst job available. I don't understand the NFLN guys at times, it seems like they use agendas instead of reporting.

I don't think for a second Andy Reid is going to draft a rookie QB and then throw him out there without Dwayne Bowe. Bowe is coming back. |

Clark Hunt better get that Reid deal done quickly. Don't let SD consultant Ron Wolf get on the phone with Reid--or agent Bob Lamonte. |

I honestly had the same thing in mind. He's been in the league for so long, why not take a year or two out? Isn't that what Shanahan did? Take a year off? |

I've watched the Eagles the last few years. Their offense was pretty awesome for the most part. Vick was good enough but their line was ****ing AWFUL and their receivers fumbled and dropped perfect passes all the frickin time. McCoy was great. Their defense was pretty awful as well. Who hires an o-line coach to be DC? Other than that I'm just glad we won't have complete reeruns running our offense anymore. That's a thing of the past.

For those asking: <s style="text-decoration: initial; color: rgb(187, 102, 102);">#</s>Chiefs could theoretically hire Andy Reid today. They have fulfilled Rooney Rule with <s style="text-decoration: initial; color: rgb(187, 102, 102);">#</s>Falcons ST coach Keith Armstrong |

John Fox's last two seasons at Carolina were 8-8 and 2-14. He didn't take a year off. He went to Denver, and his first two seasons there were 8-8 and 13-3. I'd take that. Tom Coughlin had three losing seasons in a row before he left Jacksonville. Then he went to the Giants and won two Super Bowls. I'd take that too. There is no perfect hire out there. Andy Reid is a damn good one, though. |
