If I were his piano teacher, I'd tell him to quit playing flat-wristed. He's got a ton of shoulder tension, too. The dude probably is terrible at his scales outside of the ones that fit the hand well like B and E major.

He's really got to get more of an elastic elbow. He has absolutely no power to his sound. He's playing from the base instead of allowing his weight to distribute sound into the right hand and the melody.

I could also dig at his improvisational choices, but that would take too much time.

Damn, I guess we better not draft him. .... oops.

I would read an entire blog of SNR breaking down athletes' musical capabilities like draft scouting reports.

I just watched his presser and the video of playing piano and I gotta say, I love this guy!!! I'm excited to watch him play and grow into the football player he tells us he can be.

I agree-loved the interviews with him so far. I think we got a great player. :thumb:

I have to admit, I have concerns about the Dee Ford pick.

He is a 1 trick pony (speed rusher) with short arms. The Waldo rushing formula shows he is a high risk of failure, and I would agree. I hope he succeeds nonetheless.

So Ford and Clowney are "high risk" but Scott freaking Crichton is "med-low risk"?

You're a 1 trick pony. You shut it and stick to Police brutality stories. ;)

The fact that he plays so flat-wristed seems to me that he's doing all that work from fingers. Yes, you need active and energetic fingers to play good staccato, but he's gotta be doing more work than he needs to be doing. It's not efficient playing, which is preventing him from doing some REALLY cool things in his sound, like producing a solid forte with absolutely zero tension in his posture or his arms.

From listening, it appears he's a very intelligent individual who discovered voice leading completely on his own. It's a shame that he hasn't had more formal training, because this guy could have been REALLY good.

This pick was sooo freakin needed, the first time Hali or Houston go out the dissenters will be thanking their lucky stars we have a scary athlete ready to throw in.

Stack the defense, look at the dominant defenses of the last few years like the Giants of a few years ago or the current Seahawks, straight up loaded with pass rushers... anyone mad about this pick is smoking CRACK, you too, Sacc.
