I love the rain, my lawn certainly needs it, but it has ruined our plans for the day. My son is disappointed, I was looking forward to a great cookout with great friends, now I am watching the food network salivating!!

Aww, you'll be fine. You said you had two kids right? Have one light them off and have the other one operate the fire extinguisher. It'll be hours of fun!

I have three!

I have to follow the middle around all day long making sure she doesn't bring the house down as is, only being three she is a monkey on meth that never stops.

The forecast is the same here, I will have to squeeze in swimming around the rain.

Alright, I am officially tired of all the fireworks. My dog and three year are afraid of the noise and driving me nuts over it!!!! The next door neighbors have some really pretty and loud ones.

RedNFeisty 07-04-2010 09:03 PM

What an awesome display of fireworks!! The booming was so loud we had to go outside to watch, fireworks were everywhere, a complete 360 around us. We could see the fireworks from downtown Wichita and Goddard. The neighborhood was setting off fireworks equal to those of downtown.

I could actually enjoy the fireworks since my three yr old finally went to sleep. Bless her heart though, she went to sleep with her fingers in her ears, two fans on high and the television up loud, all in her bedroom trying to flood out the sound of the fireworks.

Yeah I put on a pretty good show every year and my neighbors do the same.Well they set off one of those 20,000 firecracker barrels. After about 200-300 I'm like :spock::spock::spock:

The fireworks themselves weren't what was bothering me, it was the dog not getting out of my face because she was scared of the noise and my daughter being scared of the noise.

I love fireworks. We use to do the big show, but this year my son had to watch everyone else (he did get to do the little local ones). He was a little down, but was a good sport getting to watch the displays all around us. It was amazing, a complete 360, we didn't know which direction to watch.
