Going from Oakland to Vegas to Buffalo. Things in Buffalo would die from his boredom

But that aside, I have no idea how they'd fit something like that into their cap for 2025 and forward. They're already in trouble, and the piggy banks they can smash to get out are not all easy one. Josh Allen, sure. They can get a bunch of relief there (though he's probably going to demand a raise, I'd think). But do you really want to kick the can again on Von Miller? Or do it again on Matt Milano (who is now in his 30s and has injury concerns EVERY year?) Or start it on Dawson Knox (who is on one of the worst contracts in the league)? Dion Dawkins would make sense. But they also have some young, ascending players to take care of, too (Greg Rousseau, Christian Benford, Terrell Bernard). |
Buffalo fans are moving to the top of my shit list. They seem to revel in the pity they receive from people who hate the Chiefs. Imagine not being able to move on with your life and spending your days posting clips from the game online crying about how it’s rigged. Truly broken and pathetic human beings.

Miller's getting cut.
I didn't realize his base was so high ($17 million) and not guaranteed. They don't save near that much by cutting him (about $8 million) but they also absorb some of the dead money that would've hit them in 2026. It's "We get Frank Clark for Free!" all over again. The bottom line is that regardless of how much dead money you take on, you're removing $17 million from your cap over the next 2 seasons by moving off him now. And in the rollover era, that makes all the sense in the world. If they can afford it, Chase Young makes a LOT of sense for them. Omenihu probably would as well. But as a pure pass rusher, Young would make the biggest difference for them. And if they can't fix their secondary, they're gonna need a big step forward on the DL. That secondary is in rough rough shape. |
I read on Two Brain Cells that Coleman was Allen's guy in the draft

ETA - It might also indicate that it wasn't just KC interested in making a deal, but that there was interest in making this deal both ways. |
