Nnadi Saunders Wharton Kaindoh Danna I just don’t see 3 to 4 spots for free agents when they’re likely going to draft 2. They’ll sign 2, but not 3-4. |
I would sign Dunlap and then go to the draft for DEs. Depending on what we come out with, I’d look to bring Ingram in if they couldn’t come out with one that they liked in the first couple of rounds.

Pickup a couple of these older vet guys on the dline and rotate them to keep them fresh.

Report: Falcons trade Matt Ryan to Colts for third-round pick

Colts turning into the 90s Chiefs is a glorious site to see.

It’s hilarious that nobody wants Jimmy G or Baker LMAO

I don't know that 36 year old Ryan can best that production by much really. They will continue to run the offense through Taylor, so moving Wentz to get to Ryan is weird. Although, they got a 2 and a 3 this year and a 3 next year... moved him and replaced with Ryan for a 3 with this cap. So, they netted a 2 and a 3 as well as all that cap. |

He was...fine. He stumbled down the stretch, for sure. He really had some poor games when Indy could've put themselves in the playoffs. But on balance I think he re-established that he's a starting caliber NFL quarterback. That's better than 1/3 of the league will likely get this year. |
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Jaguars?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Jaguars</a> re-signed WR Laquon Treadwell.</p>— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) <a href="https://twitter.com/TomPelissero/status/1505982786917871626?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 21, 2022</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Go get Shenault, Veach. |
So is Smith's neck or back ****ed up or what?

Of course not all injuries are the same, but still. It's football. You use your back a lot. |
The biggest losers this off-season have to be the 49ers. They make the playoffs with Jimmy G and still have him bc teams traded for Russell Wilson, Deshaun Watson and Matt Ryan instead of your guy LMAO
49ers are gonna have to take lower compensation or straight up realease the guy at this point |
Quote:
I think that helps ease some concerns, even though they aren’t completely going away either way. |

Quote:
But I wouldn't be shocked at all if some idiot organization gave up that much for him. If there are teams in this league that think they can win a Super Bowl with David Carr or Tua, then there are teams thing Grapes is worth a couple 2s. |
Quote:
|
I could see it someone giving up a 2nd rounder, I don't know about two of them. You just need a GM who is trying to save his job who thinks if they just put a running game or defense around Jimmy G he can at least get you to the playoffs, which he can. Buy you a few years while you try to draft your QB for the future.

And, there you go... Mariota on a 2 year deal with ATL.

A 2nd 2? Eh - gimme some conditions on that one and I'll consider it. But you can't waste another season with Darnold. He's just not that guy. Hell if you're the Texans, why not? I don't think the Giants gain much there. Pittsburgh is probably the other decent option and they don't have an incredible 2nd round pick. Moreover, I just don't know if they're going to get the guy they want at 21 anyway. So if you can use the 2nd you'd have to trade up to get to your QB, use it instead to get Grapes and then use that 1st on a different target (in a draft deep elsewhere) then keep your powder dry until next year, there are worse ways to go. And with the Steelers aversion to ever truly bottoming out, that's probably their last shot at avoiding it. |
I thought the Panthers too, but they don’t even have a 2nd this year.
That’s why I find it hard to believe. Only other team I can see is the Seahawks and that would be monumentally stupid of them. |
Forgot about the Texans. It could definitely be them, but their young QB is more impressive.

I'm not sure why some people seem to think he's the answer there. I just didn't see it. |

Clowney Campbell Hicks Ingram Carter Key |
So back to zdarius smith. What would he theoretically be looking for contractually?
And why hasn't Barnett signed anywhere? |
PSA: if the tweet is more then a minute old it is a damn near certainty that someone has already posted it in here.

Quote:
Did we ever figure out what the heck happened there? |
Quote:
Over the last 2 years teams have just attacked those edges w/ the running game. And neither of the Smith's demonstrated the ability to do much about it. Za'Darius may just be more of an OLB than a DE4. |
So, now that they have Ryan... do the Colts go sign Julio Jones?
|
Quote:
He was their third lowest rated player in that game. |
If Veach signs this guy to a multi year deal without inquiring about Some other guys first, he’s not doing the team a service.
If I’m calling the shots, give me Clowney and Ingram. Or Calais Campbell and Ingram. If he signs Smith, he can’t have guarantees after year 1…if he’s ok with that (he won’t) then we should all be excited about the signing but if not, we need to be smart and look elsewhere. |

If Veach has shown anything this offseason….it’s that he’s looking at youth. I just don’t see Smith as being an option…unless it’s cheap or short term.
Go get Barnett, Green or Key. |

There were some fools around here claiming that Baker would get the Browns a 1st round pick.
ROFL |
Oof.
I didn't realize he was hauling that 5th year option salary around. $18.5 million on the cap? No thanks. That's where they really miscalculated here. The 5th year option is guaranteed for injury only. UNTIL the first day of the new league year. If they had understood that they won't be able to get anything for him, they could've gotten him cut prior to that 5th year option becoming fully guaranteed. Yeah, he's gonna get traded WITH a 3rd rounder for a 6th somewhere. And I still think there are teams that could do worse. |

Baker is not a top 12 QB but he is better than many are saying, IMO.
I think people are undervaluing (maybe NFL teams too) based on last year when he was hurt. He's better than Wentz or Jimmy G (not a super high bar). |

When his current team says they want an “adult” at QB, then they trade for Watson, that’s pretty telling. And it’s not like there’s not a ton of evidence to support that narrative. |
