I think the part I like most is that KC seems to have targeted the guy they wanted, and made sure it happened (assuming it does happen).

This is a legit concern. Why were his last two years so bad? Was it poor QB play, which is quite possible. Also, Andy was dealing with some personal issues (he had a son who was having problems with the law and recently died). I'm not impressed with his drafts either. Hopefully if he's hired he'll bring a GM with him like Tom Heckert and defer to a better talent evaluator.

Reid is a proven winner. If he's not burned out and defers personnel decisions to others more qualified then I think it would be a good hire.

Mike Shanahan failed his last few years in Denver. Tom Coughlin failed his last few year in Carolina.

Never been a big fan of the underachieving Reid having watched many Eagles games over the last decade, but if it gets us to finally draft a QB and gets rid of Pioli, I can accept it.

Reid's a good choice, just like on paper Pioli and Haley were good choices.

Time will tell.

The biggest thing is for him to bring in an experienced DC. His teams seemed to play a lot better under Johnson. The other concern is the recent QB issues in Philly and in Cleveland under Heckert (I'm assuming of course that Heckert comes along).

But Castillo wants to coach on the defensive side of the ball.
