I'm sure this is a misprint. KU is the one with the important practice.

kstater 09-17-2010 02:31 PM

As to Farmageddon, I'm surprised RustShack hasn't shown up to say ISU will win big. In fact, I haven't seen him since prior to the Iowa game.

Dante84 09-17-2010 02:42 PM

Can't wait to tailgate tomorrow!

gblowfish 09-17-2010 03:18 PM

I'm going to the game tomorrow at Arrowhead.
Farmageddon?
They've only sold about 40,000 tickets so far.

My wife and brother in law are huge K-State fans.
My three sisters in law all went to KU.
I'm the only Mizzou guy in the family.

But I'll be rooting for K-State (my second favorite school) tomorrow.

Yeah, he owes alot of people some casino cash. He's still licking his wounds I guess. He should have $0 casino cash about right now.

black angus 09-18-2010 06:17 AM

k-state 31
iowa-state 20
Too much Daniel Thomas for the clones to handle without their stud linebacker
Let's roll em Cats! 4 hrs to kickoff.

WARM UP THE TRACTOR!!!

BigOlChiefsfan 09-18-2010 10:22 AM

3-0 after a 7 minute drive

black angus 09-18-2010 11:32 AM

10-7 KSU at the half. The Wildcats have shot themselves in the foot in the red zone so far.
They should be up by 10 to 14 IMO.

Easy.

Could have been 13-7.

black angus 09-18-2010 11:44 AM

I don't think the 'Cats have any confidence in their field goal kickers when they have a sharp angle.

BigOlChiefsfan 09-18-2010 11:51 AM

This booth crew needs to eat a dick while burning in hell. God they suck! I'd rather listen to Brent Mushburger. Hell, even Madden isn't this annoying....

Coach 09-18-2010 12:47 PM

One thing I feel during the K-State/ISU game is that, is Chris Harper being utilized wrongly as a slot receiver?

spanky 52 09-18-2010 01:07 PM

Hang on defense and the Cat's are 3-0.

spanky 52 09-18-2010 01:15 PM

Damn that was close. Go Cat's.

BigOlChiefsfan 09-18-2010 01:16 PM

Doesn't matter when your QB struggles to complete double digit passes.

True, but if they are doing short quick passes and such, you'd think he'd at least have some catches thrown his way.

black angus 09-18-2010 01:36 PM

I'm just happy for the win, our undersized d-line was getting pushed around by the clones.

Yeah, you're right on that. ISU offensive line had a 47 pound advantage over K-State's defensive line.

I was pleased to see that they didn't get exposed to the big play, except the last drive, where it was overthrown, but if it was an actual QB throwing that, the game would be going to OT, most likely.

If HCBS kicks the FG in the 2nd qtr (instead of that dumbass fake), this game would have had a different feel. WTF was he thinking. That is totally unSnyder-like in a tight game.

I liked it. I really did. You're only a genius if it works in those cases, but I like that kind of thinking from the Old Man. He used to be ST guru. Roll the dice.

If you are playing Mo State, no problem. However, when you KNOW it's going to be a close game, and it was, you can't chance not getting the 3.

I agree with you and WTI; it was a stupid call in that particular situation. However one of the things I've always liked about Snyder is his willing to try fake kicks and punts. He doesn't mind the occasional risk.

Dante84 09-18-2010 03:32 PM

I was pretty pissed about the wasted opportunity at the end of the half. 1:40 or so on the clock, and we chose to sit on the ball. I believe we had 2 time outs also.

There's no reason we shouldn't have driven down and tried to get some points on the board before half.

There is no way they were going to let Carson throw the ball the way you'd need to throw it to get down the field. That said, I don't understand why no screens or draws in that situation.

And the exact same play was on film from last week....you know the ISt. coaches covered it with their team. They were ready for it by their formation before we even snapped the ball.

Saulbadguy 09-18-2010 04:35 PM

Nebraska is going to ****ing rape us. Our front 7 is pitiful.

Thankfully Coffman only sucked on a couple plays, one was major suckage that could have cost us the game.

Daniel Thomas, awesome. Brod Smith, legit. William Powell, excellent.

That's all I have.

NU is damn good. That said, Wash U's O and D are dogshit. Locker sucks.

I agree, our front 7 is bad. Parts are good, Harold, Priz Brown and maybe Kibble. Beyond that......:Lin: Not to mention, Hartman has been beyond bad in his first 3 games back from the injury, and I mean BAD!

We ride Thomas as far as he takes us, and hope for the best. The end.

Yep - i'm not under the Powertard delusion that this team may compete for the North.

I'd be happy with 6 wins and a bowl game trip. This team has issues that it won't get worked out this season (IMO) but they should be competitive in most of it's games.

Last year's team had major flaws also, and they were within a quarter of winning the North. We'll see what happens. Cats are by no means the favorite, but they'll compete. And DT is freakin' fun to watch regardless. :)

Lies about shit just to stir up the subscriber base.
"It's Patterson"
KU players making racist remarks towards KSU bench (didn't happen)
Mangino cursing out FITZ after KSU/OU game (didn't happen)
KU recruiting Dominique Sutton/Tyree Evans (didn't happen)

How does a Conference USA team a decent running QB and KSU gets Coffman.

It comes down to QB, and since KSU doesn't have one we have no hope.

Coffman made one horrific pass, a couple of bad passes - but let's be honest, he had a few decent throws too. He didn't lose us the game. The defense put us in a position to lose us this game, IMO.

It's weird. You look at the stats and you'd think the D played pretty well. I mean, ISU was only 33% on 3rd downs, gained less than 300 total yards, and they only gave up 1 TD. But, it seemed like we just didn't press them much. We played D to keep the play in front of us, instead of trying to just make a play, We missed a F ton of tackles, and just didn't look sharp. I REALLY hope we bring it against NU. Otherwise, we are going to get our asses steam rolled.

It's not just a matter of the throws he makes...it's the throws he doesn't make because the coaches can't trust him. The threat of our running game should make playing QB quite a bit easier, especially with a solid WR corp. Instead, it's a struggle at all times, and any time he drops back KSU fans collectively hold their breath.

I am looking at the big picture. He looks like he is going to piss his pants whenever he has the ball in his hands. KU's freshman looks more comfortable with the ball then Coffman.

I hope that the next QB in line has better running/passing instincts then Coffman. I will leave it at that.

We caught a break on the deep ball to Broderick. There was definitely a push off, but it was subtle and WRs tend to get away with that. Great play on his part.

The QB's behind Coffman, if you can believe it, are worse. If Lamur was the goods, he'd be playing. Apparently, from what I've been told, he has NO idea how to read D's, and makes horrific decisions. Athletically, he's all that. Game time, he's Oh Shit! Cosh is a lost Frosh. I'm not sure what to think of him. Klein has no instinct for the game. Apparently, he's more tentative than Coffman in his reads, if you can believe that. Personally, I'd start running Harper 10-15 plays per game at QB in the option role. Dude is far too athletic not to touch the ball. That whole deal is a major mystery to me.

Agreed, although obviously Snyder is no dummy. If that were as obvious as you and I think it is, they'd be doing it. Who knows.

That's what I been saying. I tweeted to let them know that the back-up is solid, and to get him the ball sometimes to give Thomas a rest.

His inability to hit the open receiver with a clear path to the endzone anywhere near in stride or anywhere near him at all(a once a game opportunity at best) is what kills me. I don't mind the game manager aspect of him, he's decent at that, but you can't give up those opportunities when you have them.

notorious 09-18-2010 06:40 PM

KSU's offensive philosophy is predicated on having a QB throw for 50-55% completion, but when he hits a receiver it goes for 20+ due to the run game sucking up the secondary.

Coffman doesn't scare the defense with the run or pass.

WilliamTheIrish 09-18-2010 07:45 PM

If Snyder had done his ****ing job and landed a QB the program wouldn't be looking at Coffman as QB. It's on him.

Hey, he can't do everything. Heh. He can only do so much. What you want him to do? Hold Cam Newton hostage with a gun on his head until he signs to K-State?

:ksu:Rumor is Jordan Phillips is wavering on his commitment to OU and is considering the Cats.

Jordan is rated as the top commit from KS. for 2011 by Scout.

At 6'5" 300 lbs he'd be an immediate starter at DT for KSU imo.

Too bad the NCAA is taking their sweet time on the AB issue.

I'm beginning to think we won't be seeing Arthur this year. That's ok. We'll have 2 full years of him then.

Crabby at Rivals just talked to him and the quote was "I'm Boomer Sooner all day". Sounds like another rumor gone wrong.

Alright... I'm here to talk trash. Actually I'm not, I have a feeling Daniel Thomas is going to run on UCF all day. That being said The UCF QB Godfrey will give K-State something they haven't had to deal with an athletic QB that DOESN'T turn the ball over. UCF's defense is faster than Iowa State's and hell we have a better coach than Iowa State. That being said I think it will be a close game if UCF doesn't turn the ball over.

Earlier you said UCF didn't stand a chance. Changed your mind?
