The lake is catch and release, so I put them back.

Always use a gaff no matter what kind of fish or what size, and always try to gaff them in the stomach or in the gills.

Donger will now start saying awkward things to his fish at inappropriate times.

Hf you cradle them from underneath they typically go limp and you can easily remove the hook. Lipping trout typically doesn't work well due to their small size.

Handle fish as little as possible. Touching the fish removes the protective slime and makes them susceptible to infection.

Thanks. These were surprisingly big and I could easily hold then by the mouth, but they don't have nice teeth like bass to secure with.

Son caught this in our pond yesterday. 4 lb test magnathin line and a 3 inch original colored Rapala. I'm guessin it goes between 5 and 6 lbs. He released it.

I have to catch a bullfrog for my daughter to take to school tomorrow. They are having a frog jumping contest.

Thats an outstanding catch for such a young guy & on super light line to boot, he'll remember that one forever.

Really nice, i've been thinking for a while now that its time i start sharing some pics with the planet & actually contribute to my own thread lol.

Just got back from our annual trip to Canada. The fishing was ok overall, but I managed to catch the biggest fresh water fish of my life this week.

42" Northern Pike, the fight was uneventful until he saw the boat. Then it was ON, he dove under the boat took enough line to come clear out of the water behind me at which point I thought there was no way I would get him in the boat. With some good help from my dad who had gloves on and was able to grab the braided line and "guide" him back to the correct side of the boat a couple more strong runs and he was done.

What a RUSH!
