First of all, nobody is whining. Second of all, we have several pieces of a good 3-4 already in place. Ramming them into a 4-3 lessens their impact. To say we've built nothing on defense is categorically false. |

You would think we had built the 97 Chiefs defense or something the last two years.
Uh, no. If we change schemes and have the 15th ranked defense well, um, that would be an improvement by five spots. |

The guys everybody wants to build around - Dorsey, Hali, DJ - were part of one of the worst 4-3 cover 2 defenses ever. |
If they want to change, fine. But it needs to be because they feel our existing pieces are better fit for that. Not just because thats what they are comfortable with.
We know Tamba is better in the 34, same with DJ. Houston likely is better as a 34 OLB. We have 2 great pass rushers and a great MLB. We need to be putting better passrushers up front. |

The talent is fine. It's the scheme more than anything. |

As decent as ANY defense Crennel put on the field. And yes, those teams had Jared Allen, but this team also has Justin Houston. I just don't see it the same way. We're not throwing away talent if we switch schemes. Justin Houston, playing as a 4-3 end, might be even better. He wouldn't waste any ****ing snaps dropping in coverage for sure. |

The facts are that our top defensive talent (Hali, Dorsey, DJ) are best suited for the 3-4. Poe was drafted for the 3-4. |

Would Hali, DJ and Houston be as good in a 43? |

I do gota say our Defense was playing with 0 confidence! Knowing our offense wouldnt put up 7 had to affect them
