Teams are allowed to sign free agents whenever. Most of the players don't become free agents until March 14th.

Kony Ealy only had one sack with the jets last year but did have 9 pass breakups. In the same boat as a Aaron Lynch as a young pass rusher who has under performed but still worth looking into with pass rushers in high demand it would be great to get one on a prove it deal. Just looking at some bargains as well for free agency
