He got too cute by half.

We showed the numbers on the right side, he slid the protection left because we'd been deking with that blitz all night.

The problem is that Allen THOUGHT it was rocket surgery. Had he just played it straight, things would've gone much better for him.

Spags got in his head. Not in as open and obvious a way as he has in the past, but this was unquestionably a mental error brought on by Spags playing head games with Allen the whole night.

Deking really didn't have anything to do with the protection. The original linup had 2v2 on the left side, which left 4v3 on the right (minus the cb blitz). The design of dropping Bolton with the cb blitz was a great call to cause confusion but the problem wasn't really even the assignments. The problem was, as coochie pointed out, the RG didn't block anyone. The LG saw immediately that the DE dropped out and swiveled to help right, except that by that time it was too late for him to get there because there were 2 free runners.

Now i don't really agree with RGIII because the protection assignments weren't a problem as much as the RG standing there picking his nose while 2 guys ran right by him.

It was a great call by Spags but i don't see a problem with protection. I see a problem with execution by 1 guy.

Schwartz actually explained that he did what he was suppose to.

don't worry, Robert.

I've pointed that out several times.

Now the counter is ultimately that the reason Allen didn't get that protection call right is that Spags rope-a-doped him.

So if you don't want to criticize Allen, maybe just go ahead and credit Spags so we can put the finishing touches on that HoF case.

One of the Bills players came out and said they showed that blitz all game and sent pressure from the non-showing side, so Allen shifted the protection.

Then Spags sent it. Incredible.

I don't know enough to know if Allen should have known that. He's gotta know that it's a risk if Spags switches it up (albeit for just one snap, that's pretty ballsy) he's going to be exposed.

I'm guessing you're right, if he would have left it straight up, and made the play another way if there was a shot.

I'm honestly surprised he didn't run it into the gap where the blitz came from more, like he did in the regular season game.

Griffen might be right, might not be. But yeah, him pulling out that call after going the other way for 57:00 is pretty incredible.

I've always liked RGIII. He was a lot of fun to watch play when he was healthy, and he has better takes as an analyst than most talking heads.

There was a time where his twitter game was unmatched.

I think he's had some growing pains on TV, but I gotta say I respect him.

Herbert could be Allen, as long as it took Allen to be who he is now. Still not buying in with his turnovers

I mean at this point, can we just call them the Buffalo Chargers?

Allen to the Rams by 2028.

Allen has 4 years left, tops, before his physical ability begins to decline and then he's late-stage Cam Newton.

Joshy faking an injury to skip the Pro Bowl, because he can’t advance to the Super Bowl… a tradition unlike any other.

Allen will get his SB appearance in the next 2 years....Bills are about to have a new stadium to fill.

Not one of their fans will complain when the refs help them get there either.

Excellent find. It goes to show you that fans really have no idea who is to blame (if anyone) on certain plays.

That would be a good spot for him. California native. He has played at least two A++ quality games in the Rams stadium, so he's very comfortable with that particular stadium. Stafford gonna retire in near future. NFC is a lot easier path than AFC to make the Super Bowl.
