1) The Bills have a lot to be excited about. That team didn't rely on much in the way of older players or guys they expect to lose in FA. Most of the key players they had this year were younger or likely to be extended. And they cleared the Diggs dead cap so they'll have some money to spend. Their cap sheet is relatively clean with only Von Miller as the real headache contract they have.

They'll be better on paper next season than they were this season.

2) Those fans will still see the entire regular season as a preliminary event for the post-season and they WILL develop a cynical shell and cringe like kicked dogs anytime the wheels wobble.

I only say this because we've been there. We know this feeling extremely well. This WAS Chiefs fans before Mahomes. Now its worse for them because they have a truly spectacular QB and a very good HC/Staff. They'd have at least one championship by now, if not more than one, coming out of the NFC. So it has to burn.

It cuts both ways. They'll still be confident and they should be. They still have a badass under center in the prime of his career.

But they're going to be waiting for that football to get pulled away from them again.

Thank you for coming to DJLN's TedTalk. This ends the conversation for the evening. Take care, and good night.

The Bills problem is that in order to fix Allen’s turnovers they had to neuter him and remove a large part of what makes him so dangerous as a QB. He isn’t a good enough in the mental aspect or a precise enough QB to completely master managing the game like Mahomes does.

Without giving him chances to run or throw on a play and actually make something happen you basically turn your superstar QB into Cousins or Goff who’s completely dependent on the play being executed perfectly around him. I was just shocked how vanilla their third and fourth down plays were. I know a lot of that was our defense but whether by design or by Allen just not playing well enough their offense had almost nothing threatening that utilized his big strengths as a player.

Even so, Buffalo was very fortunate to avoid 5+ turnovers in this game. I counted at least 8 turnover worthy plays. Not one turnover in the bunch. Meanwhile Mahomes & Pacheco make one mistake and pay the full price for it.

Yeah - that's the biggest issue.

Can they REALLY bank on the turnover luck again?

The team could be better and still not have as good a record next season. So much went right for them this year.

And where did it bring them?

Right back to KC.

It is...inevitable.

Nobody really talks about how insanely lucky they've been with Allen's health, because it feels like he's unbreakable. I know the dude is tough, but everybody gets injured eventually when you use them like that. At some point, he's going to miss some time for something.

It's just brutal to keep missing out on these opportunities.

And Dion Dawkins at Left Tackle. Dawkins has been healthy for 99% of Josh Allen’s 7 year career.

Yea, probably the only other injury that would completely destroy their season.

Counting last night's game, the Bills had a favorable outcome on 29 of 34 turnover-worthy plays.

The league average is 48%.

At least we know the Bills will have Allen’s best interest at heart if he sustains a head injury. No way would they force him out there prematurely, right?

Been there, done that!

But I actually think this is the most likely injury for him. He's had a concussion before, even Bills fans acknowledge that. What happens if he has another? They can quickly become an issue when you have multiple, and we're talking about a guy that's constantly vulnerable to these hits due to his play style.

He took a huge shot to the helmet in the Ravens game that resulted in a fine.

Everybody is clinging to this image because they don't understand how angles work. The one right down the line shows it is ****ing CLOSE. That's the dangerous game you play with these short yardage scrums.
