LaCanfora is no longer a mouthpiece for the Chiefs. It's a reason I wish Pioli wasn't in the meeting with them. But I guess he probably signed some confidentiality agreement.

He won with a 4-3 run by a man who's no longer alive. Since then, in the last 4 years, his defense has struggled to stay in the top 15 and has gone through 3 different defensive coordinators. All of whom were disasters.

As I've said before, Reid needs to stay further away from the DC hire. Because he doesn't know what his defensive identity is and I certainly don't think he should be ruling out a 3-4 just because he's never run it.

McNabb said he thinks Reid will use the top pick on another player, sign a vet and draft a QB 2nd or 3rd round.

That's a horrible line. Sorry.

Incredibly experienced. Runs an attacking 4-3, which seems to be what Reid wants. Tremendous defensive backs coach.

But it's not like he's done much in his DC roles. I don't think he's ever coached a top 10 defense.

Is it? It's two very good pass rushers, a very good run stopper and a guy who can play 3-tech.

Thank you! Dorsey was suppose to be a badass 43 DT. Poe has shown good pass rush and was ranked highly among DTs in rush defense. Houston can defend the run as well as pass rush. Tamba would be the main pass rusher

You have two terrific pass rushers you will now be asking to play in a traditional trenches type role, which means they'll either have to add weight or be situational pass rushers. Those two are phenomenal in a 3-4, whereas we don't know if they'll be near as effective in a new scheme. So why risk it?

Poe belongs in a 3-4. His value is that he can play the nose and could become incredibly valuable because he's one of the rare nose tackles that can potentially play across the line in no huddle situations.

You've got 3 of your 4 guys who are probably going to be much better in a 3-4. So why force a scheme onto them instead of making the scheme adjust to the players? Especially for a head coach who doesn't really know what he's doing on defense.

Dontari Poe, Glenn Dorsey, Tamba Hali and Justin Houston ALL have experience playing in the 4-3 at some level of football.

The main issue I would see with that line:

Can Hali still play left end?

Can Houston play right end in the pros?

If Poe gets his shit together I honestly don't think ANYONE could run on us up the middle with he and Dorsey in there.

Just remember teams can do a vast variety of exotic looks nowadays.
