GoT is so perfect for this game.

i'm rewatching this game and it's beautiful knowing what's coming

they're down 14-0 and there's zero panic in anyone yet

still mad that tyreek fumbled that punt because that was a beautiful moment - crowd gets JACKED when he's back there

alnorth 01-13-2020 01:13 AM

Figured I'd post a few amusing messages from another football board during the game when.....well..... THAT was happening. This was from a neutral MB, not from either KC or from Houston.

Everything this season has happened exactly as it was supposed to happen.

We literally found the deepest darkest moment that could be found, after the blown coverage, the dropped first down, the blocked punt, the muffed punt -- just so that the Chiefs could annihilate the Texans, take every fiber of their being, and just tear it to shreds.

Next weekend will be glorious...

Those in my section were chanting his name in anticipation of something good happening finally. And then boom, fumble inside the 10. Would have been hilarious if it also wasn’t so aggravating at the time.

I gotta tell you guys I don't think TV captured the 24-0 quite well enough.

They almost made it seem boring.

The fans at the game were ****ing devastated. It was a sad booing party. A ****ing funeral with the pallbearers shitting on the deceased.

KC_Connection 01-13-2020 02:02 AM

I think if this team didn’t have Mahomes I would have given up and left at 24-0. It was bad. But I never fully lost hope because of that and what he’s capable of. He’s going to go down as the best NFL player ever, he does things with the ball no one ever has.

I was about 3 seconds from turning into Kratos and "**** everything" mode at my house and then all of a sudden I thought hey...teams are always coming back from huge deficits against us...no ****ing reason why we can't do it to them for once. And I swear the second I had that attitude change it seems the Chiefs did too and started annihilating their ass. So I like to pretend like my attitude and energy has **** all to do with anything even though I know it doesn't but I'm gonna take that same attitude and energy into next weeks game.

From sitting at home I thought the crowed was still yelling pretty loudly when we were down 21 and that helped the Chiefs hold them to a field goal and not get another touchdown.

Hardman lit a spark with his return that was phenomenal

That shit he does where it looks like he's 3 yards past the line of scrimmage and the whole defense commits to him but GUESS WHAT ASSHOLES my back foot is still barely behind the line so I'm gonna flick it over to Kelce. Genius. I've seen him do it a couple times before and it's ****ing brilliant. Dude knows exactly where that line is.

The only time I really noticed the booing, it was well deserved.

Kick-off: Hardman drops the kick.

1st Down: Damien Williams drops a pass.

2nd Down: Robinson drops a pass.

Three plays in a row the Chiefs drop the football. They kinda deserved a frustrated boo.

But the crowd never really seemed negative to me through the TV. They were quiet, and looked devastated, as they should have, but I thought they voiced their displeasure and moved on.

Interesting. Literally every stranger I talked to at the sports books in Vegas like the Chiefs, even Bronco fan showed respect.

People kind of know the shit we’ve been through, and Mahomes is damn hard to dislike.

I am a very nice guy, though, not a tool like a lot of fans there. That might have something to do with it.

The catalyst for all the 1st Q ****ups was Fish false starting. That put us in a 2nd and 12 situation. Got 5 on the replay of 2nd down and then the Kelce drop.

The crowd was incredibly frustrated by the time DRob tried to one hand the pass (dropped it!) on the following series.

What a great game. Just incredible.

Was because he made extra effort to place the ball on ground in front of his face. If he had just dropped it casually it would not have been flagged.

Ah. Wow... Oh well, all's well that ends with a Chiefs win!

EDIT: Oh, and so much for "the retaliation is always caught/flagged", Mr. #92 retaliated by throwing the ball at him and they totally didn't call it..

Mr. #92 had also just slammed Williams backwards in to the turf AFTER he was already in the end zone. I'm guess the "taunting" had something to do with that. That whole sequence was BS.

Lamar was very much part of the problem for Baltimore. Inaccurate throws and not good at reading the defense. Mahomes was throwing a good ball in that first quarter. His teammates failed to show up. I am just glad they got their shit together before it was too late.

Bill OBrien having to be told to go for it on 4th down while 20 points behind is surprisingly not being talked about much. That was ****ing embarrassing.

The throw to Watkins in the fourth quarter when it was 41-31 was my favorite play of the day. Tackles shove the rushers out the back of the pocket, Mahomes steps up and throws a piss missile down the seam. Watkins snags it out of the air for like a 35 yard gain.

Just beautiful.

Sammy stepped up yesterday. Hopefully he continues that next game.

100% agree...

My belief is that who you are isn't truly revealed until you're punched in the mouth and things are at their worst. How you react to that kind of situation is what you're all about. We're finding a whole lot out about this fraud of a Chiefs team.

Not judging because I said worse in my living room, but this might be the post that aged most poorly in a thread full of competition.
