With the Broncos loss, this is a huge win for the Chiefs. Great job by them.

Also, the Falcons are in 1st place in the NFCS, at 4-6. LMAO

keg in kc 11-16-2014 03:09 PM

Wooohoooo!!!!

This is such an uncharacteristic win. Give up 200+ yards rushing and two turnovers and still pull it out.

I'll take it!

Chief Roundup 11-16-2014 03:09 PM

Wallcrawler 11-16-2014 03:12 PM

Defense coming through BIG. Three fourth downs stopped, two of them very short yardage.

Gotta work on ball security for damn sure, and ****ing Bowe back to being his old unreliable self isn't that great either.

Jamaal was beast mode today, credit Lynch for playing through pain, but he was stoned twice on short yardage, and didn't score a TD on us.

exciting game today good job guys, just what i needed to happen a seahags lose and a niners win.

frozenchief 11-16-2014 03:12 PM

I have been afraid of this game all week long. For so long, the Chiefs just fold against a good opponent. We didn't do that. We made mistakes, yes, but overall, we stood firm when we had to. We played well enough on offense we could overcome 2 major mistakes (the fumbles). I really thought the Chiefs would just lay an egg. This win took guts. It may not mean as much in the stats or for DVOA, but this is the type of win at makes a season.

tboss27 11-16-2014 03:12 PM

1st Place!!!!!!!! What a great game, offense carried us the first half and Defense was lights out the second half! Total team win right there, special teams even gets involved with the downed punt at the end.

teedubya 11-16-2014 03:13 PM

Holy shit. I'll never doubt John Dorsey or Andy Reid again... I thought FOR SURE that we'd win maybe 5 games this year.

FringeNC 11-16-2014 03:13 PM

We are REALLY hard to be beat when the O-line plays well.

Probably Hali's best game of the year but he's still having a shit year and I'd take signing Houston long term if it meant cutting Hali.

Mosbonian 11-16-2014 03:19 PM

Nice to see hometown guy Gregg William's Rams Defense pretty much hold Peyton Manning and the Bronco's to 7 points.

Bob Dole 11-16-2014 03:20 PM

Can you dumb **********s who blow John Elway and the Broncos because they made your middle school years feel so great realize that this team doesn't have what it takes to win it all?

Probably not.

RINGLEADER 11-16-2014 03:20 PM

7-3.

Provided we don't ship the bed we've got two wins against the Raiders banked. It all comes down to beating the Broncos.

When we got Manning I believed the Broncos had a 2 year window to win the SB. I don't believe they can win it this year.

Meanwhile Vic Fangios D just forced 5+ turnovers. He's gonna be an HC real soon.

The way Peyton has played the last two weeks I could see it. I mean the Raiders eventually reverted, but dude is throwing picks left and right now.

GloucesterChief 11-16-2014 03:23 PM

I still say we should cut Bowe if we can't trade him. I am cool with keeping Hali if we get a good deal with him.

you cannot build a complete team around him. not only does he eat up a huge amount of $$$ with his contract, but he's a pocket passer. that's what he does. that's all he wants to do. so you have to build your offense to suit him. and after spending all of that $$$ on key players so that you can be an elite passing offense, you realize that the running game and the defense has been neglected.

he'll get 12-13 regular season wins every year because the NFL is full of mediocre teams, but all of the shortcomings of his teams get exposed in the post season.

are we better off with him? maybe. maybe not.

i have a logical argument about how the artificially gaudy numbers his receivers put up in his system leads them to demand high $$$ contracts and that means we either lose them or underpay on other areas that we need to improve in order to pay to keep those guys, but i'm a little too annoyed to write it all out now.

can we get to the SB this year? right now, it seems doubtful.

penbrook 11-16-2014 03:24 PM

Per Albert Breer

Chiefs are a legit championship contender, in my eyes. That one played out like a heavyweight fight. 3 fourth-down stops in 4th qtr for KC.

mlyonsd 11-16-2014 03:25 PM

That's two weeks in a row I just about had a heart attack.

Due to age I would agree on Houston over Hali. However, this knock on Hali isn't really fair. How much of a playmaker would he be if the opposing offense wasn't allowed to hold him all game?

Handed off quite a bit. He was 11-16 for 108 yards. Solid passing numbers if not spectacular. It was obvious that the Chiefs game plan was to run all day long. makes sense considering the Seahawks are one of the best in the league at defending the pass and the Chiefs are one of the best rushing offenses.

Mother****erJones 11-16-2014 03:29 PM

What a game. I'm so proud of this team. I was getting pissed but we pulled it out. Good job defense, coaching staff and team overall.

What a great game! We watched at home but I'm off to the local for refreshments and a bit of gloating. Up here in North Idaho they are lots of Seahawk fans.
