They're in regardless. 11 Big Ten wins and only a small handful of bad losses. If this were Purdue, Illinois, Iowa, etc., no one would doubt.

Since the field expanded, only one BIG team has won 11 BIG wins and not made the tourney. And that was in 1990

Makes you wonder why Mizzou can't keep up with that D2 school. They accomplished more last year than Mizzou has in the past 76. That's totally embarrassing.

I believe I read once that Self has 25 NCAA Tourney wins at Kansas. Mizzou has 23 in their history.LMAO

Apologies to the board for this post. I'm completely wrong here. Poster was originally citing a team who outperformed KU last year in the tournament.

Obviously this could never have been Missouri.

Unlike college basketball the computer rankings in football are the true determination of how a team finishes.

The polling in cfb is laughably biased it's barely worth mentioning.

As you can see Kansas has easily finished in the "final four" of college football. Just imagine how great it would have been to get that NCG matchup vs LSU had the playoff system existed in 2008.

Missouri Forward Won't Play in SEC Tournament Because He Hasn't Paid His Rent

Stephen Atkinson, Greg Renfroe, Tony Criswell, Ryan RosburgShare this image:

Tony Criswell is a reserve who hasn’t played much lately for Missouri, and he certainly won’t be playing this week at the SEC Tournament in Atlanta. You see, Criswell is way behind on rent off campus – over $2,000 – and Frank Haith told the media that “he’s got some things he’s got to take care of back in Columbia.”

Brent Musburger and Jesse Palmer will be the main broadcast duo for SEC Network football games: http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports...ork-telecasts/

Ideally, I'd have Keith Jackson and Steve Spurrier as the main team with Tim Brando/Archie Manning as the second and the Daves back in the JP slot.

Interesting choice. Musburger is nearing the fossil stage of his career and I'm not sure I've ever met anyone who likes Jesse Palmer.

More interested in who is going to replace Musburger on the Saturday night team. I think Fowler or Reece Davis?

I would've done the opposite, put Davis in the head SEC Network slot until Musburger retired and then promote him. Davis is an Alabama alum and he would be more palatable to the fan bases of the SEC. He just needs to bring his accent back.

I don't believe in euthanasia. Really I don't. But at some point it might be time to start thinking seriously about doing so to the MU basketball program. When all is said and done, the autopsy will likely prove it was sent into shock by being exposed to the SEC. And permanently damaged both emotionally and physically.

It looks as if it's lost the will to live. And that's always a sad thing to observe.

Lol, the SEC isn't what is wrong with Mizzou basketball in the least. Hell, we "should be" the third best team in the league this year, but Haith has turned the program into an out of control tractor tire screaming down a hill that's on fire. Haith and his ways need to go, plain and simple.

Given KU's sub par attendance of the Big 12 tourney (ISU thanks you for the home game), I do not think Bambi or Bitch can ever claim KC as exclusive KU turf, as they as are wont to do.

Prison Bitch 03-15-2014 08:05 PM

What you're also looking at there is Mississippi State vs Vanderbilt, a game played on a Wednesday between two teams with losing records, in a football stadium.

Of course, when Florida and Missouri played yesterday they managed 15,000 for that session, and 20,000 for today's.

Who wants to bet the SEC pulls more on Sunday than the Big Whatever does?

I do laugh at the Big Bevo reference. I guess if your team can't beat them with any regularity (I'm looking at you MU/NU) then you have to have make them the scapegoat for your teams' shortcomings.
