The Texans are never going to do anything. I don't see them reaching the Bills and Bengals level.

That’s not sustainable, especially when Josh Allen is taking hits as a running QB as much as he did |
Josh is as close to Pat in terms of QB and ability in the league. His A game is good enough to compete with us when we're on our A game.
Honestly a few of the games they've just gotten unlucky. The 13 second game for sure. The others we were better, but it's just been a tough matchup for them. |

The wide right field goal was way unluckier, imho. |
I know it is he off-season but the Bills remind of the Chargers and just suck in the post-season after/if they make it.

Also I believe Mahomes would have handled that 2nd and 9 play better than Josh did. Probably would have taken the checkdown to Diggs for the easy first down. Josh held the ball long enough for Chris Jones to disrupt the play. |

He said Josh's A game matches Mahomes A game, and I would agree with the during the regulars season/first three quarters of any game, but I think in clutch moments Mahomes takes it up another tick that Josh just doesn't possess. Or if he does he sure the hell hasn't proven it like Mahomes has. I was actually going to point to the drive you mentioned above where Josh totally ****ed up the 2nd and 9. I think Patrick converts that, and I definitely think he would've drove us down to go ahead again of the Bills made that field goal. |

The Bills defense under mediocre McDermott will never stop the Chiefs offense as long as Mahomes has a decent oline and 2 good WRs to throw to.
Betting KC against Buffalo as the underdog was easiest $$$ you’ll find. |
Regarding Allen he is the only QB who can potentially go toe to toe with Mahomes when he is on his A game. But that doesn’t mean his A game is as good as Mahomes’ game. But it’s as close as anyone else and certainly more threatening than the ever overrated Burrow.

Quote:
Allen is more physically gifted and his running and as a FB near the goal line and red zone keeps the Bills in most games. Burrow is more cerebral and reads the defenses better, goes through progressions better, and is far better with ball placement and accuracy. But his arm is not special enough to pierce zone windows like an Allen or Mahomes. |

if buffalo is smart they get a good rb to tandem with cook and utilize more play action..Allen's numbers on play action are very good their signing of samuel may pay dividends--he had his best year under brady at carolina...but brady needs to get diggs back in the loop---he tailed off in second half last year burrow and bengals may or may not be strong challenger--will they keep tee higgins..moss for mixon seems like a downgrade |
Quote:
Burrow is more stable, but with a much lower ceiling. Allen is still a far more threatening player though. It’s been obvious for a while. The next time Burrow avoids a sack in the fourth quarter of a playoff game to throw a TD will be the first time. Of course it’s easier to just say the next time Burrow throws a TD in the fourth quarter of a playoff game will be the first time. |

He has a hilarious Damar Hamlin post. |

I haven't been super close attention, but it feels like they lost some good players in FA, no? Particularly on defense. And Diggs . . . didn't look like the guy that 'catches everything' last season. Maybe he bounces back, maybe not. And then looking at their schedule, or really just the list of their 2024 opponents, they have tilts against KC, SF, DET, BAL, LAR, and HOU, and all of those will be pretty tough matchups. Not saying they'll lose all of those, heck, BUF has been beating KC in the regular season kind of consistently recently. But they will lose several of those games. Off the top, my guess is that BUF probably loses to SF, DET, HOU. And could lose two out of the other three. then there's the games with TEN, JAX, IND and SEA. We're not sure if JAX will bounce back from last season, but they're loaded with talent and Pederson is a good coach. TEN has quietly gathered together some nice pieces so far and might actually give JAX a run for their $$$ for the Division. I can see a couple of those games being tougher than a lot of people expect, and BUF could lose a couple of those. And finally we get back to their own Division. We know that MIA will be a problem, especially in MIA. The heat/humidity always messes with those northern teams. And if AR can stay healthy, he'll be tough to beat. BUF could split with both of those teams. Not saying they can't win 11-12 games, but it won't be easy. My gut says they could go 9-8 if they stumble a bit mid-season or whatever. Anyway, something tells me they're going to struggle at times this season and go 10-7. 11 or 12 Ws feels too rich to me. |

I think there's even a TBD quote buried in this thread from TBD where one guy said they don't care about brains in a QB because "this is football". Grog throws ball. Grog runs. Grog throw into double coverage in the 4th quarter of a one possession game. |

Really not hard to believe they believe it honestly. It's shoved down their throat by the pundits that he's great, which he is sometimes, obviously. They just don't point out his flaws, so it's not so prominent with them.
If the Chiefs are up with a couple of minutes left and the bills driving to score, they are hopeful. Chiefs fans know he'll F up. That's the difference. |

Their front office has some serious work to do to replace the losses. They might fall off pretty badly in the next year or two.

No MVPs, Superbowls, Superbowl MVPs, and has had a better defense than Mahomes EVERY year but ONE and those mongoloids think he's BETTER.
They've missed their window. They will never have better teams than the ones they squandered. |

We can send Skyy and Toney to them, no problem.
Both are Superbowl champs and caught touchdowns in the big game! They don't have anyone like that on their current roster. |
So guess we know Buffalo is taking a WR in the first round now.
