Never can have enough starting pitching. Not to mention we could be losing Shields this offseason, Samardzija would be under our control until 2016.

I thought he only had one more year. That makes more sense. Still would cost a LOT.

It sounds more like a shields replacement. That said Royals need offense and I don't think the Royals would give up enough for Samardzija

Hm.. I initially thought it meant that they scored more runs off the second Cy young pitcher than the first! but wtf does that stat even mean? Maybe they scored the most runs of any team facing Cy Young winners back-to-back? :shrug:
