Not too shabby.

Funny side note of the morning:

If you haven't watched the Brewers' ad encouraging fans to vote for Lucroy for the All-Star Game, do yourself a favor and watch it now.

Now that you've watched it (and laughed), go to MLB.com/Vote and vote for Lucroy. Unless you want to see another Cardinal in the All-Star game.

Yadi is a stud though.

I like your AL ballot and we're pretty similar (my picks in bold/ital).

Your NL ballot, though... was surprised to see McCutch, Tulo and Stanton left off.

The NL could prevent us from getting 4 World Series games. **** 'em.

@Ken_Rosenthal: To add to previous @jonmorosi tweet: #Royals' bigger need appears to be offense, but they have had a scout at Samardzija's last two starts.

That seems odd. Our rotation has been strong.

ChiefsCountry 06-18-2014 09:43 AM

Never can have enough starting pitching. Not to mention we could be losing Shields this offseason, Samardzija would be under our control until 2016.

I thought he only had one more year. That makes more sense. Still would cost a LOT.

I think we're just doing our due diligence. We have lots of scouts.

Sure-Oz 06-18-2014 09:53 AM

It sounds more like a shields replacement. That said Royals need offense and I don't think the Royals would give up enough for Samardzija

Hm.. I initially thought it meant that they scored more runs off the second Cy young pitcher than the first! but wtf does that stat even mean? Maybe they scored the most runs of any team facing Cy Young winners back-to-back?

Yes, that's what it is. I read it elsewhere.
