I can't really defend Clyde when you bring up Kareem. Clyde was meant to be his replacement. Clyde's first two years have been huge disappointments in comparison, on the field that is.

Since Mahimes took over we use the RBs less. When Andy had Smith Hunt was worked so much he led the league in rushing. Clearly Andy likes Mahomes throwing it and let's be real. Mahomes wants to throw it a lot as well. He may come out of that some after the loss but he doesn't check to running plays when there's a 3 man front and he should.

Teams, including the Chiefs, can still sign players but a lot of cap space money has been spent. The free agent talent pool still has some value, but many players have been signed. By waiting until the Monday after the draft, the free agent signing no longer counts against the comp pick formula. Teams are also waiting until after the draft to see where they are at with their rosters.

It's not done, but has really slowed down.
