Because very few outside MO and KS gives a rats ass.

True. But MU hasn't been able to keep anything quiet - someone has always leaked info dating back to them flirting with the Big 10 last year.....I just figured I'd see something by now.

We can schedule bowl games outside the Big XII footprint but not a basketball tournament?

Also, the Big XII is pretty much giving up Kansas City as a market if they move the tourney. There will still be alums of KU and KSU, but the casual, unaffiliated fan won't grow up bonding with the conference from their experiences in the Big XII tourney. They'll have to settle for watching football games against Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, Georgia, LSU, Auburn, etc. and basketball games against Kentucky, Florida, Arkansas, and Tennessee.

You have such a consistent slant on things, it is really prettyfunny. Weather has a a lot to do with the location of the bowl games, and Texas, along with it's population, makes the most sense of all the Big 12 locations. St Louis bowl? LOL

Will the casual Kansas City fan not be exposed to Vandy and Kentucky football?

Will the casual Kansas City fan not be exposed to Auburn and Mississippi basketball?

Just a guess, but I would bet the BB fans will be watching games being played by the basketball schools KU and K State.

I'm pretty sure the fans of the schools in the conferences care about the changing landscape. I want to know whether MU is staying or leaving.

I can't imagine they'd make such a big announcement in such a shitty room.

810 had OU's announcer on a week or two ago and basically said nobody there gives Missouri leaving or staying a second thought (referring to fan base). So you can imagine how much the east coast brass that is ESPN cares.

Bowl games typically involve two teams from different conferences. The Big XII Basketball tournament is monolithic by nature. Now, the NCAA tourney is a different story, and I fully expect KC to host a portion of the NCAA tournament.

Shocking, OU and UT fans only care about OU and UT.

Can't afford a nicer room right now. Remember we are still in the Big 12. :thumb:

So Mizzou will only be playing the good teams in their respective sport?

Gotcha

I think 46 other states feel the same way.
