I always thought Pioli was one to us...

My theory on Grudens current penchant for geezers goes something like this...

He wants experienced, highly coachable players early on to help him set the tone for that franchise and all that includes, such as teaching the young guys he brings in how to practice and prepare for NFL games

Thats why for example, he let a slightly younger Crabtree go in favor of the older Nelson... he wants Nelson to basically be a live action coach who will teach the young guys not only by example, but with the intricacies of the WCO during practice etc

He'll grab these older guys on shorter deals to help get them off on the right foot, then gradually transition over IMO

not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but will drop it here.

I think you are right. Same on the defensive side of the ball. Guenther has brought a couple of older vets from his Cincy days to compete with or coach up the younger dbacks to Guenthers system.

Important thing to remember about Chucky is that he has primarily only won with older vets. The Raiders especially were full of old-timers when he was coaching there.

Not trying to be a dong, but I'm not seeing the former Bengals here

But if I were a Raiders fan, I'd like Guenther as my DC... that guy loooves to attack, no soft bitch zone BS for that guy

They just signed Leon Hall a day or 2 ago and I thought there was at least one or 2 other former Guenther or Cincy boys whose names arent coming to me right now.
They resigned Reggie Nelson who played for Cincy......and LB Lemur who played for Cincy and the Vikes but in Guenthers system....

Chiefs have signed QB Matt McGloin and WR Nelson Spruce per a few folks on Twitter.

If she is right

If Denver trades back that means they are in on Case Keenum, perhaps looking to make a ‘push’ as their better defenders get older. Maybe they draft a QB next year but no telling who will be good and where they’ll be picking.

And no Barkley

Can’t imagine seeing a 6’7” 290 lb guy with 4% body fat in person.

4% BF isnt sustainable for verylomg and one would be miserable. 10 is probably a little more likely

pugsnotdrugs19 04-01-2018 11:08 AM

Welp, nevermind. Knew they wouldn’t be trading back.
