He took the TYPE of player I wanted even then.

Honestly I think I was about perfectly dialed into the chiefs outlook on the players in this draft.

I just wouldn't have taken that risk in the 1st.

Seems like the Chiefs elected to draft high ceiling, high potential athletes in several places in this draft. Cant blame them, if they produce, its a big win! Filled several places of need for this team, possibly. Im ready for training camp to start, to see what we've got!

But I suppose JuJu and Brown are gone after this season so he could find playing time then.

2026: Rice, Worthy, Bond, Royals…I guess I’m talking myself into it lol

I could see Brown possibly sticking around if he can log more snaps this year and has the right price in mind. Juju might be in a wheelchair by 2026, yes.

dabergtobirden 04-26-2025 04:49 PM

Nobody ever brings him up but love Luke Grimm from KU as possible UDFA

If I'm bringing in a receiver with an eye on the practice squad it's Restrepo or Wease.

Several good KU UDFAs… OT Logan Brown, CB Kobe Bryant, CB Melo Dotson… I want all these guys!

See I think everyone they grabbed can point to at least being a niche contributor. I don't think there's actually a ton of risk in any of their picks apart from Simmons and maybe Royals.

I would love to see Wease get a shot....

Wouldn't mind seeing Nate Noel be invited as a UDFA

BryanBusby 04-26-2025 05:01 PM

Would like to see some OL and DB depth from the UDFA pool and maybe a little more DL.

Mosbonian 04-26-2025 05:03 PM

Lachey just got picked...

Bumping again as the draft is just about over!

RunKC 04-26-2025 05:05 PM

I think every single pick could make an impact this year, Bassa and Smith likely on ST’s. It’s gonna look a lot like 2022 IMO.

It feels so good having smart people run this franchise

Anyong Bluth 04-26-2025 05:05 PM

I'd love to sign Cobee Bryant, please.

Thank you.

KU has a legit handful of guys that are really good still available

smithandrew051 04-26-2025 05:07 PM

Call Logan Brown immediately.

But that pick aside, there's not a single ****ing thing to bitch about the whole rest of the way. There's something here for everyone. Veach was like ****in' Oprah, and we all got what we wanted underneath our ****ing chair before the show was over.

Given the outcome of the draft and the other picks, that only lends credit to them having thoroughly done their homework unless people think they spent the least amount of time scouting their 1st round selection and it appears he was their plan for quite some time?

Bump 04-26-2025 05:15 PM

it's gonna be UDFA time soon

had a couple last year that made the team

Yeah - like I said, Royals may have the toughest path to playing time. Just depends on how his game translates.

With the D1 guys, you can get a better feel for how quickly they can play up. Royals is harder to project.

If you ignore the quality of competition, he shows a lot of the same traits Burden shows that could make him useful immediately. Not as much of 'em - even against lesser competition he doesn't show the hands, body control or physicality of Burden. But the quickness through cuts, ball tracking and YAC ability are there.

We'll see. Long-term he can play the X. But that requires a bit more projection.

Gillotte may take longer than we hope as well. He'll have to come up with a plan apart from speed to power. May get some snaps here and there but it's gonna take a bit, IMO.

Joefrog 04-26-2025 05:18 PM

Logan Brown and the other KU guys should already be in KC. TTech TE Conyers, Iowa S Castro, GA DT Stackhouse, WI OG Huber as well. Really wanted Colby and Lachey from Iowa.

BryanBusby 04-26-2025 05:19 PM

I like what this class could mean from tomorrow. Feeling we can at least offload Taylor and Tranquil to have room to operate without doing a single thing to Pats massive cap figure.

RunKC 04-26-2025 05:19 PM

Broncos had a below average draft for what they needed. Harvey was a good pick that was a bit early but that WR they got is slow as hell and isn’t explosive.

They are still a team with one of the worst receiving weapons LMAO

ForeverChiefs58 04-26-2025 05:19 PM

More trench fatties!

Are any OL, TE, or RB available?

Hollin Pierce from Rutgers is available.

He’s a huge OT. Not a great player, but he is a massive human.

I think you give him a shot.

Can’t wait to get my burning stool jersey

RunKC 04-26-2025 06:35 PM

Think the worst pick in the draft was Arian Smith. The Jets taking him with one of the first picks today was hilarious. ESPN was so funny during that pick.

“Well he’s got speed, but he was rated as a 7th rd pick so this is surprising.”

“He’s fast but he had a drop rate of almost 17%”

“Yes the speed is there but he had 10 drops this year”

Louis Riddick suggested he might need lasik. Couldn’t believe be said that on air ROFL

siberian khatru 04-26-2025 06:35 PM

I bring stool about every other day, especially after a second cup of coffee.

Nixhex 04-26-2025 07:07 PM

I just want to say how fun it is to read everyone's takes. Many smart and not so smart...lol peeps here. Some of you all are Nostradamus. Great entertainment and information as a whole. You make my Chief's draft experience much more enjoyable. I am a long time, die hard fan but I don't follow college football and the draft process like some here. You make me sound like I really know ball to my friends...HA!! Thank you all and let's go CHIEFS!!!!!!

Compared to what?

I am assuming Browns getting lauded for Shedeur Sanders but was he really a 1st round pick?

Based on what I have seen no.

Maybe a 2nd or 3rd with added baggage which is right about where he went when you add in the issues to his tape.

Yeah, it looks like the browns score is greatly helped the sanders pick. It’s one metric- certainly not perfect.

Our best value picks (according to this) were Smith and Royals and our worst value picks were ONL and Gillotte.

I'm really getting sick of seeing MU players go to Denver, where I now have to want them to fail. Ray, Lock, Albert O, Abrams-Draine, Badie, and now Walker. What the hell??? Do the Broncos have some connection to Mizzou??

I want to see what Wiley can do, he’s a big time target. Remember Kelce didn’t play his 1st season either, this guy is being overlooked imo

I wouldn’t expect much…think we reached last year on his pick. UDFA guy from Clemson looks more impressive on tape.
