Couch-Potato 01-08-2025 01:12 PM

Saw the guys at PFF speculating that our Chiefs could potentially trade down out of the 1st with the Dolphins plus a pick to a Tyreek Hill trade. We probably let Brown and Hop walk after that so maybe you’d end up with Hill, Rice, Worthy, Watson. Could be fun!

gordonelloyd 01-08-2025 01:16 PM

We don’t need him, he would cost too much cap Space, he is not the player he was when he played here, and his attitude totally sucks.

Yep.

No reason to bring him back.

UChieffyBugger 02-07-2025 01:50 PM

Apparently Reek just told Mike Florio and Chris Simms that it's tough and sucks not being part of the SB. He also said many times he's questioned whether he made the right decision leaving KC. But he still supports his boys.

Feel for Tyreek tbh because the guy was in a rock and a hard place. Could he have taken less money and stayed? Yes. But it's never easy turning down generational wealth when it's right infront of your face. He will always be a hero to me and I'll never forget the great memories he gave us. Just an incredible player.

He played volleyball instead of football in 2021, do not want.

Mecca 02-07-2025 01:54 PM

I still believe he'll finish his career with the Chiefs, but it'll be on a much cheaper deal.

Bump 02-07-2025 01:54 PM

as much as I wouldn't mind seeing him come back, it just doesn't make enough sense.

No. He was offered generational wealth to stay here and chose to take MORE wealth over building his legacy with a truly generational talent at quarterback, and now he's having buyer's remorse. He'd have been a sure fire first ballot HoF'er like Kelce had he stayed, but he chose money and South Beach (and around 10 kids) over the fame. I get it, but don't look back now, Reek.

pugsnotdrugs19 02-07-2025 02:23 PM

It has to be so damaging to his ego seeing us in a third straight bowl.

You know he thought after the trade that we'd fall off largely. And then... they just got better.

Wallcrawler 02-07-2025 02:26 PM

Tyreek was a fool. He thought he was hot shit and irreplaceable. All we did after booting his ass was win every superbowl since, appear in a 3rd straight, while hitting big on draft picks Trent McDuffie and Rashee Rice, and using the saved cap to build one of the best young defenses in the NFL.

Even with the benefit of a time machine, no Chiefs fan undoes that trade.

Tyreek has had the unenviable experience of being forced to wake up and smell what he's shoveling.

His "guaranteed M's" can comfort him on Sunday when he watches history being made by the qb he said he'd pick Tua over.

He will also probably knock up another chic by halftime.

110% truth. KC basically offered the exact generational wealth. South Beach and his extracurricular activities has easily cost him the extra money he made from Miami. He can't see the forest through the trees. He was never looking at the big picture and what a legacy of key players on championship teams means after football with future earnings. Does anyone think Gronk makes any money after football without Brady helping him cement his legacy on those teams? I sure don't.

Agree largely.

But it's not binary. **** Reek, but also I don't hate the dude. Watching him with Mahomes was probably the most fun I had watching football. Also, he got an education. I do dumb shit all the time. I hope dudes don't hate me on account of it.

It was profoundly annoying when he was like "Tua most accurate dude in the league." While I appreciate him being honest with his emotions.

It is what it is.

KC offered generational wealth also, he just wanted more. I think at that point you turn down the extra $$$ and you play for championships, because you'll get paid back twofold.

He turned us down for a few extra million dollars. He was not in a tough situation. It was his ego. He saw what Adams was paid and wanted to be paid similarly. He got exactly what he wanted.

A more mature person would've seen the big picture and turned down that money to play with Mahomes and create a legacy of greatness. But this is Tyreek we're talking about. He only realizes it when it's way too late.

O.city 02-07-2025 03:08 PM

He wanted the max money and went to a worse qb

What did he think would happen?

It wasn't just the ego over Adams contract. It was an inflated sense of worth. He genuinely thought that if KC lost him that would severely impact this team. Just goes to show that they haven't missed a beat without him and I think that stings more for him then the few extra millions.

ForeverIowan 02-07-2025 03:20 PM

Would love to see a swan song for Tyreek for the 2026-2027 season...but the more I think about...Im not sure what kind of player he is by that time. You dont bring in a 32 year old receiver with baggage and drama to be the #3 receiver behind Rice and Worthy. Just not worth it. I can say with near certainty Tyreek will never wear a Chiefs jersey again.

Like you said, once he's done raking in the cash, he's finishing up in KC. It's quite clear that's his plan. We'll see if the Chiefs are interested in making it a reality, and I hope they do.

2023 4th and 2023 6th-TBD
Cash for a big signing-TBD

Well so far a starting corner, WR and potentially RT

I was looking back at this and it's amazing the overall haul we ended up with...

2022 1st (29) - Used in trade-up for Trent McDuffie (1-29, 3-94, 4-121 for 1-21)
2022 2nd (50) - Used in trade-down for Skyy Moore (2-50 for 2-54, 5-158), 5th subsequently used in trade-up for Darian Kennard (5-158, 7-233 for 5-145)
2022 4th (121) - Used in trade-up for Trent McDuffie
2023 4th (122) - Used in trade-up for Rashee Rice (2-63, 4-122, 7-249 for 2-55, 6-194), 6th subsequently used for Keondre Coburn
2023 6th (178) - Traded to Dallas for 2024 5th (159), used for OL Hunter Nourzad
Cash for a big signing (impact signings)
2022 - Justin Reid, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Franchise tagged Orlando Brown Jr.
2023 - Jawaan Taylor, Charles Omenihu, Drue Tranquill, Mike Edwards

So we essentially gave up:
WR Tyreek Hill
2022 3-94
2022 7-233
2023 2-63
2023 7-249

for:

CB Trent McDuffie
WR Skyy Moore

OL Hunter Nourzad
DT Keondre Coburn

WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling

BWillie 02-07-2025 04:28 PM

Pornhub is illegal in Kansas.

Kind of limits his opportunities.

Hoover 02-07-2025 04:43 PM

Yeah, I have a soft spot for Tyreek, but I'm done with him.

We are in a great spot with Worthy and Rice. And I'd love to draft another mid round WR.

Bringing Hill back would be lead to our demise now. Would be stupid to disrupt our team chemistry and what Veach is building.

htismaqe 02-07-2025 04:50 PM

I just can't bring myself to care. When he started in about being unhappy with his amount of targets here, I was done.

Chiefspants 02-07-2025 04:51 PM

So, it’s more or less an accepted fact that Bobby is Patrick’s mouthpiece, right?

If that’s true, then there was real tension in the locker room the last season between Tyreek and Patrick - and Hill’s shade toward Patrick after leaving support Bobby’s tweets there.

If Andy wants him back, then I won’t argue, but I’m at the point I’d much rather us prioritize McDuffie or an extension to Rice/Worthy rather than a Tyreek who’s lost a step or two and all of the baggage that’ll come with him.

Agreed. Throwing the ball to 9 dudes a game is much more effective than the like 3 the Dolphins do.

Spot on. I'm holding my breath that Rice comes back at 100% from that injury. If so, we are in such a great position. I'm a firm believer that Rice was ascending into an elite receiver before he was injured.

Both Rice and Worthy were forced to learn under fire and shoulder a greater responsibility earlier than was likely envisioned. If healthy, that experience will pay huge dividends over the next 2-3 seasons.

I'm all in favor of re-signing Hollywood if it's possible at a reasonable price and length. And we should draft a receiver every year. But what has been a clear position of weakness since Reek left is about to be one of the team's greatest strengths going forward.

And they said Varch couldn't draft receivers ....

we never even knew he was this much of a diva while he was here. He wouldn't stop doing the peace sign and some elaborate TD celebrations but that was about it. Andy does a good job with those types.

Hoover 02-07-2025 06:31 PM

The reason I love Mahomes and this team so much is that they evolve.

We won a championship with Mahomes throwing tons of TDs and putting up gaudy numbers, because honestly we had to. Now we win games with a balanced approach. But there is going to be a year when Mahomes turns back into a video game QB and buts up insane numbers, probably because the defense will have some issues, and its going to be great watching all the talking heads have to change their tune once again.

Being a fan of this team is So. ****ing. Fun.

I mean last year it was like oh no Mahomes has lost it, and they are in trouble because they have to go on the road in the playoffs... LOL. Challenge accepted.

Mitch Holtus is a cheese ball, but I love the dude. I cringed whe he said, "You can doubt the Chiefs. You can dislike the Chiefs. You can disrespect the Chiefs. You’re gonna have to deal with the Chiefs" But man was he spot on.

I was done with Tyreek the second he went on that podcast or whatever and said that in SB 54 he cussed out Patrick in the huddle saying let us work, let us do our ****ing jobs, you're making us look bad.

This weak willed little pussy was over on the bench by himself, and Patrick had to get him back in the game, and you can see Tyreek nodding his head and hitting himself in the forehead a couple times trying to lock back in before the Wasp drive.

Tyreek would be a helpful stopgap until Rice is available next season… injury recovery/potential suspension… but the cost to acquire Tyreek would be ridiculously expensive for a stopgap WR.

not really needed. Pay that money to a LT or something instead

Agreed! Was Hollywood and DeeHop just a one year contract?

This weak willed little pussy was over on the bench by himself, and Patrick had to get him back in the game, and you can see Tyreek nodding his head and hitting himself in the forehead a couple times trying to lock back in before the Wasp drive.

Not true. Tyreek said they called eachother out after Pat threw the ball behind him for the second interception and tbh Tyreek had every right to feel pissed off at that stage because Pat was struggling. Then Pat challenged everyone to step up and he said it made him refocus back into the game and "I had to go to war for this guy".

Remember Pat also got into it with Rashee Rice last superbowl so it's not like these things don't happen. Bottom line is after that incident Tyreek made a franchise altering play that sparked the run we find ourselves on right now. And I will always be grateful for that.

What was the difference in contacts? 10 million overall from a 90mil deal to 100? He could have made it up in advertising deals and not having 6 plus out of wedlock kids from miami.

This right here.

Red Dawg 02-08-2025 03:01 PM

The hell with him. He made his bed now he can lie in it.

Balto 02-08-2025 03:30 PM

How do we trade for Tyreek with all our picks going to the Browns for Garrett?

ThyKingdomCome15 02-08-2025 04:03 PM

He's a mess lol. We may invite him to come out of football limbo in 26 but his contract is something no team wants. He's 30 now and is coming off an injury plagued season. Not to mention he isn't smart enough to not vent in the microphone.

Enjoy the beach, Reek. It must get boring after two months straight.

That look he has on his face there? I feel like it's permanent.

He just always has a look on his face that's something between bewildered and bemused.

He's not a smart man.

Going to go ahead and officially declare the Chiefs won this trade by a country mile. In fact, unloading this clown may have been the biggest blessing in disguise of this entire dynasty.

I think the author of the tweet meant to write "Hill reportedly has fathered another 4 kids in 2025".

Tyreek has like 15 mother-in-laws, so more specifics needed.

There is a fairly large and vocal contingent of people that are still wanting us to bring this guy back.

man, there is just zero chance that Andy wants anything to do with this shit anymore.

He got his ring(s) and he's happy to get more, but we're not going to see any of that Marty Schottenheimer shit when he got desperate and started bringing in the Chester McGlockton's of the world.

Life's too short to acquire stupid lunatics.

Remember when Veach came in, one of his first biggest moves was trading Marcus Peters and we all flipped shit. He then traded Hill and we all flipped shit again. We have a pretty good GM.
