Braun gets a foul call for getting elbowed in the face. Cool.

smithandrew051 03-25-2022 06:46 PM

Braun needs to get his face out of the way of the shooter’s hand, so he doesn’t pick up fouls

smithandrew051 03-25-2022 06:47 PM

Keep driving on Watson. He can’t defend the drive without fouling.

BWillie 03-25-2022 06:48 PM

Sometimes I think Wilson is more valuable than Agbaji despite the scoring

KC_Connection 03-25-2022 06:49 PM

Can we put Remy back in? The offense consists of Harris and Wilson just driving and throwing stuff at the rim otherwise (because Agbaji and Braun certainly won't be doing anything in this game).

He’s a damn good stretch 4. A guy like that is so valuable in todays game.

Sometimes? I think that all the time. Braun is also a better player than Agbaji in terms of overall contribution.

Anybody who puts Agbaji in NPOY talks has simply never watched him play.

ROYC75 03-25-2022 06:51 PM

By not blowing them out I'm afraid we're just waiting for something bad to happen and let them back in the game!

Been the story of our season in similar games, yes.

Hes just streaky. He won us a few games this year on his back alone. But ya he's a tad overrated.

KC_Connection 03-25-2022 06:54 PM

Can Agbaji just stop driving the basketball and taking stupid shots?

The truth is that he's a 3 and D spot shooter who does nothing else. Luckily for him, NBA can use guys like that.

threebag 03-25-2022 06:57 PM

We need to pull ahead, if they start popping some shit we’ll be ****ed

KC_Connection 03-25-2022 06:57 PM

There's not a chance that was a charge on Wilson LMAO

KC_Connection 03-25-2022 06:58 PM

And the minute Remy Martin makes a few mistakes, the entire thing completely falls apart. Yeah, that was always going to be the issue.

ROYC75 03-25-2022 06:58 PM

Here we go again! Can't score consistently!

PHOG 03-25-2022 06:58 PM

Oh that was absolutely a charge. The guy was in legal guarding position, Wilson drives to the hoop with 3 guys in front of him. Good call. Guy didnt just stand there arms down like a pansy in a non defensive position. Wilson should have brought it back out. He didnt have numbers.

Durham was sliding into him at the point of contact. Awful call and not all that close either.

Whether Wilson should have driven at all is a different question.

BigRedChief 03-25-2022 07:04 PM

What’s McCormack done all night?

George Liquor 03-25-2022 07:04 PM

McCormack is so bad

Get out rebounded and make stupid fouls. That's gonna have to change if we hope to win. Things are collapsing right now as the Remy Martin tap has turned off.

Just a massive choke from everyone but Remy tbh

If he doesn't bail them out like the 1st half, hard to see how they win.

You play defense by sliding your feet. Too many blocks are called charges when a guy is beat defensively and slides under an offensive guy in a non basketball move (hands to the side standing like statue) and not enough charges are called when a guy is moving his feet and is WITH the offensive player and just gets bulled into.

BigRedChief 03-25-2022 07:09 PM

Why force it into McCormack? Hasn’t done shit all night.

Durham was not set. He was moving at the point of contact. It was not a charge.

We are through 1/2 the half and we haven’t even tried to let Remy do his thing. Now it’s a 1 point game. What’s Self trying to prove here?

Let Remy do his thing or we are losing this game. Easiest path to the final 4 in forever and we are blowing it. Go with what’s been working. Step up the D and let Remy go.

farmerchief 03-25-2022 07:14 PM

Be nice if the Big 12 player of the year could hit some 3’s, or maybe 2’s?

You dont and shouldn't need to be set to take a charge. Thats just something slow white ppl say. You need to be established in legal guarding position.

Anyway - this game is an example as to why so many of us were nervous after being up 9 in the 1st half. This offensive looks completely out of sorts and Providence shot 1 for 13 from 3 in the first half. That isn't sustainable.

That would require him being able to create his own shot, which he can't do.

PHOG 03-25-2022 07:16 PM

May as well sit him, he's not doing anything offensively

There's nothing established about a player sliding into a guy while driving.

True, but looks like their would be some sort of screens called together open? All night, KU has too many guys just standing around, one guy trying to create. Don’t see many set plays called all night.

threebag 03-25-2022 07:18 PM

We get 2 they going to start lighting it up from 3 it will get ugly fast

LiveSteam 03-25-2022 07:20 PM

Oh MY

KC_Connection 03-25-2022 07:20 PM

Remy does the same nonsense Durham did on that charge, sliding under him. Smart.

threebag 03-25-2022 07:20 PM

Is Remy the only one who wants to play another game?

Wilson been playing well to.

You want to draw plays up for Agbaji to shoot right now? I'll go with other guys.

Baby Lee 03-25-2022 07:21 PM

Manly, 'bout time [note, I'm probably 30 seconds behind broadcast on stream]

Baby Lee 03-25-2022 07:23 PM

solid fundamental execution for the first time in a while. . . string it together, baby steps.

KC_Connection 03-25-2022 07:25 PM

Wilson guarding Durham well. That's gonna need to continue the next 4 minutes.

How else would you suggest a guy defend a driving player other than sliding their feet and staying in front of them?

ROYC75 03-25-2022 07:25 PM

I love my college but I don't trust this team.

Red Dawg 03-25-2022 07:26 PM

I think he's saying slide in front of him. Don't slide into him from the side. I, too, thought Wilson's was a legit charge. But after the replay, I wasn't so sure.

I would suggest that it isn't a charge when a player slides into you as an offensive player. It's a no call (which is what it should have been when Durham and Remy did it this half).

PHOG 03-25-2022 07:27 PM

St.Peters wins

OOOOOOH BOY!!!!!

Seeing that 'shot' from way outside, turn into an alley oop from the rafters is the epitome of Kombucha gif

smithandrew051 03-25-2022 07:31 PM

And ****ing 1. What the **** are the refs looking at? Hacked Agbaji on that dunk.

KC_Connection 03-25-2022 07:31 PM

Complete garbage reffing that that dunk wasn't called an And-1. Massive call to miss in that spot.

So smart Remy. That’s the Frank Mason body seeking at the end of the clock.

KC_Connection 03-25-2022 07:34 PM

Remy shit talked Durham all the way down the floor there too, totally baited him into a play like that.

threebag 03-25-2022 07:36 PM

Damn this is too close
