I really like what we are seeing from Bubic. I think the kid has found his form and ends up being the second or third best starter on the team.

It is except he’s not as good as Cabrera was. He’s shown seasons of being that good, I suppose, but nothing consistent.

Cabrera signed that huge contract when he was 31 and had won several MVPs. Vlad has 2 good seasons, nothing near what Miggy was doing.

Doesn't scare me at all (the back half will be horrible regardless of what happens in the first half, there's really no doubt about that), it frustrates me. There's very little chance he'd have gotten this deal on the open market.

Why? The Blue Jays are owned by Rogers, a mega media congomerate in Canada. They have an open pit of money and their whole market is a nation. They should keep their own homegrown stars.
