Bushman was elevated to the 53 man roster. You would assume that means Kelce is a no-go.

I want Kelce to rest

I’d probably want to have another TE active even if Kelce were playing in any capacity tonight.

Considering the Chiefs went with 4 TE's every game last year and PS elevation really shouldn't mean much.

Or put him in to keep an eye on MVS getting open deep. If he only plays a handful of snaps, it will be curious to see the offense with and without him on the field. |
Limit Kelce's reps and have Bushman absorb some contact on early downs and between the 20s...

It all depends on what the trainers say and how he is feeling. Sure, a tougher game against the Lions isn't the end of the world, but even if there is a lot of depth/potential at WR, I'm not exactly expecting it to be a well oiled machine just yet. |

They can grab 5 guys from the tailgate party and 15 and Big Red could probably still find a way to win. WBF

What is certain is that Kelce is doing everything he can to convince Reid that he can play. If there is any likelihood that Kelce could aggravate the injury by playing, then he needs to be held out against his own desire to play. If everything is intact and it's just a matter of managing and playing through the pain, then I could see him playing at least some limited snaps like third downs and red zone.
