Just looking at his stats....
13.9 points, 1.9 assists, and 3.1 rebounds per game. The next KJ Adams? |

This feels like at best a taller Coit and at worst Timberlake 2.0. The good news is he definitely isn't shy about shooting 3s and he had some big games when he was on. Unfortunately the bad news is he, like Coit, doesn't offer much in the way of assists or rebounds, and his games against actual good teams were....not good. They played 1 tournament team this year, VCU, and in 2 games he shot 4-24 from the field 2-14 from 3. Yikes. If you expand that to the top 2 teams in the league that somehow makes the numbers worse: 5-35 from the field 3-22 from 3.
As a deep bench guy I guess it doesn't hurt but he shouldn't be counted on to be a significant contributor to a title team. |
Timberlake 2.0?
Ooooooooof |
This is going to be a comeback like Kim Kardashian

I know nothing about this guy but he's probably one of the best basketball players that's ever lived because he plays for KU now.

I’ve learned to ignore portal rankings. KU had plenty of highly ranked portal transfers who ended up underperforming.
Let’s see how the pieces fit when the puzzle is finished before we react too much to these guys. Hell, some of them may get recruited over and leave anyway. |

Speaking of...AJ Storr had been to 3 schools in 3 years and averaged the same amount of assists as this guy. |

26-6 now for KU baseball with another 9th inning win tonight. Omaha bound.

I'm aware of Vernon's rumors. Let's say they're true, and Bidunga's camp wasn't thrilled with how he was handled. Why are they automatically right? Do you side with every parent who bitches about his/her son's role on a sports team? |
Quote:
You're right about one thing...the bar isn't set very high. "The problem with this team is the 3x All American!" "37% three pt shooting on almost 8 attempts per game? Sounds like a KJ clone!" And if your team is only top 20ish by every computer ranking, you definitely need to stop concerning yourself with winning games in order to appease the handlers of a player who very well might go to the highest bidder anyway. Brilliant stuff. The minor differences between the staff and Bidunga's handlers aren't irreconcilable. This is/was about money. Not about sticking it to ol' Bill. As you'll see when it's announced that Bidunga's returning. Til then, keep pretending you know what you’re talking about. |

Torvik rating during that stretch: 26. Torvik rating for the full season: 22. |
Josh Jefferson in the portal.
I would go get that one. Well rounded player. A Dawg if you will. |

Everyone agrees that Flory should have had more playing time at the expense of KJ. That obviously includes the team because everyone left. For chrissakes, the student section who love Self totally were chanting, at home, We want Flory. Self is still a top notch BB coach. When you coach as long as he has, you have to adapt to the mentality of the current era's players. They can leave after a year if you mistreat them. So you make the wrong choice as in the KJ fiasco, it bites you in the ass and call into question if Self can coach this eras players successfully. |
Apparently Flory is deciding this weekend.

I think KU’s movement so far indicates the same. No big splash and no bigs so far. That sounds like KU has NIL money reserved for him to get a big pay raise. Just my speculation. |

And I like the White signing.... Dude can play defense.... Unlike the previous turds we had in Dick, Mayo, Juan, Storr, Griffen.... |

Sources: Coveted big-man Flory Bidunga, one of the top transfers in the portal, has agreed to a deal to stay at Kansas, he told ESPN. Peterson and Flory could well be the best guard-big combo in the nation.
On par with Sherron and Aldrich, Tyshawn and T Rob, or Dotson and Doke. Let’s ****. |
Okay I'm getting horny again
|
Great to hear. Only player I wanted back.
|
Let’s drink to ****ing!
Here’s to your ****, Frank… |
He’s back. After entering the transfer portal on March 29, Kansas big man Flory Bidunga is returning to the Jayhawks, Bidunga said in a phone interview witih The Star on Sunday. Bidunga picked KU over Auburn and others. Kansas men’s basketball coach Bill Self now has five open roster spots. “I want to finish what I started,” Bidunga said in a brief phone interview. “I had a talk with the coaches. Next year will be different, for sure.”

Heard speculation that Tiller might leave, but that hasn’t happened. Doesn’t need to be anyone great, but just can’t rely on Bidunga and Tiller as the only bigs. |
I guess Jefferson would make 3 bigs. Duh.
|
Nijel Pack is in the portal and somehow has eligibility remaining. That doesn’t sound possible.
|
Well, well, well.
Looks like Flory Bidunga won't be entering the draft after all. ;) |
