Next week is the annual Andy Reid unloads all of his genius 3rd and short, 4th and short and redzone play calls. I predict we score over 30 for the first time all year. 27-34 Chiefs.

BlackOp 01-19-2025 10:21 PM

Bills had one accepted penalty...are they complaining incessantly about how the NFL rigged it for them to win? They better be...cant have it both ways.

I mean NO WAY does a team have only one penalty in a physical play-off game unless the NFL wants them to win...right Buffalo fans? Love using their logic from yesterday against them..

I imagine they are imagining its a big ploy...a set-up so they cant complain next week when KC gets every call...

FloridaMan88 01-19-2025 10:24 PM

Buffalo is an absurd +27 in turnover margin this season.

We’re winning this game. Get your lids screwed on right. It’s going to be another classic, but we’re winning the AFC Championship next weekend.

Bills D is entirely turnover reliant. Protect the ball.

Chiefs controlled the game last year, only close because of Hardman fumble. Chiefs are better than last year, Bills worse. And this year at home.

Very confident and glad we are playing them after watching that game.

It’s more accurate to say that Brady was 2-2 vs the Ravens defense.

Manning was 3-2 against Brady.
The other Manning was 2-0.

I'm guessing the team with the better defense won all 7 of those games.

Was thinking the same. If we don't turn it over, we win. Bills have feasted on turnovers just like the 90s Chiefs. You know, the teams that never went to a Super Bowl.

An ENORMOUS reason for that is because they regularly play with the lead. At times, big leads. The big dog on the block is waiting for them next week. They arent jumping out to a two score lead against Reid/Mahomes. Not a meaningless regular season game in Buffalo next week.

Penalties aren’t a huge deal. Turnovers are. Ravens fans need to accept Lamar can’t carry them to the Promised Land.

I don’t think they’ll think about this one because Ravens fans don’t seem particularly intelligent. They rally behind Lamar. A smart team would trade Lamar to a QB hungry team, get the best they can and draft a top quality QB. But: 1) those don’t come around very often; 2) fans would lose their mind because Jackson will win just enough games to put them in contention every year; and 3) most GMs are not that willing to accept the risk.

DRM08 01-19-2025 10:44 PM

Buffalo had zero losses at home this season, but 4 losses on the road. Way more vulnerable as a road team, that's for sure.

Reid and Mahomes have also shown an other-worldly ability to come from behind. Mahomes’ winning percentage when being double-digits behind is still over .500, maybe even .600. No other QB is anywhere close to that number. So even if they get a 10 point lead, it doesn’t mean the same thing as a 10 point lead against any other team in the NFL.

This is the golden era of KC Chiefs football for thes reasons. Enjoy it. It is not just b/c Chiefs win with Mahomes. It’s because Mahomes, with Reid as HC, can do things that no other QB in NFL history can. Down 24 points in the Divisional round? Who cares? Your QB is getting tackled? Who cares? You have to rely upon your QB to run for 18 yards to get a first down? Who cares?

No other QB in the NFL right now, or in NFL history, can say the same thing. this isn’t being a homer. It’s just watching the game and seeing how and why Mahomes is different.

People have said for decades QB's need to be smart, not football smart, smart like has intellectual ability. Lamar comes across as a talented athlete but not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

"One man show" is such nonsense. Allen has an excellent OL creating a strong run game and a TON of time to throw the ball, a defense creating a million turnovers for him, and some pretty solid weapons.

Lamar’s WonderLic (sp?) test ranked around defensive linemen. He got a 13. Average for QBs was 24 (ironically, Mahomes score). So, no. Jackson is not particularly intelligent and that comes out in his play.

Hoover 01-19-2025 10:58 PM

Brock Purdy and Jimmy Grappalo have made it to the Super Bowl… but Lamar hasn’t.

Crazy to think about.

Mahomes and Brady’s Super Bowl wins is crazy. Only Russ, Foles, and Stafford have won one among active QBs…. But what’s nuts is that the league has all the “great qbs”

LMAO

They left a tight end wide open on the game tying 2 point conversion attempt and he just dropped it.

The Ravens ran for 176 and averaged 5.9 yards a carry. You still didn’t stop the run.

ThyKingdomCome15 01-19-2025 11:33 PM

Players that didn't play in week 11...

Bills: RT Brown, WR Coleman, TE Kincaid (I'm sure that's a big reason why Josh Allen lead the team in rushing that day.)

Chiefs: RB Pacheco, DE Omenihu, K Butler, CB Watson, WR Brown

Needless to say this is going to be a different style of game for both teams. Chiefs can lean on their secondary a bit more with Watson back but we struggle to cover TE's. Containing Knox a Kincaid is going to be a huge challenge. The good news is our secondary is pretty darn deep.

How do we contain Allen and still keep a pass rush? Spags will play for FG's I guarantee it. The pass rush will be key.

I'd also like to add Mahomes started that game with a brutal pick that BUF turned into 7 out of the gate. They're not getting that gift this time.

Jerm 01-19-2025 11:34 PM

Buffalo defense came up huge with the 3 turnovers. That's been the story of their season. Hope the Chiefs offense can find a way to have a 0-turnover game next weekend.

The Bills are desperately trying to get this monkey off their back. They are starting to doubt if they really can beat us. To lose to us in the playoffs, yet again, would be soul-destroying. We are the glass ceiling that they can't break through. I don't think you can overstate the amount of pressure they are under.

Turnovers typically aren’t sustainable.

You would not think so, but it has worked extremely well for Buffalo in at least 15 games this season. Chiefs just gotta be careful with the ball. It starts with Patrick's decisions & ball-handling, but the skill players need to watch out for those strip attempts as well. Buffalo cares more about stripping the ball than tackling. Very similar to the Bengal defenses in 2021 and 2022 when they seemed to get miracle turnovers all the time.

A fast start would put us in a much better position in this game as compared to last. Lost the coin toss, threw a pick, BUF up 7. That's a fast disaster lol.

You may be right, I hope so.

My point is this game is in Arrowhead with a ticket to the 3peat Bowl on the line. How many chances are we going to get at this? Bills will be right back in it next year with how weak their division is.

Sunday we will see which team is pressing and I could see it being the Bills. We were the team pressing in week 11 I can tell you that. Maybe the 9-0 start was in our heads?

The monkey has been on the Bills back for roughly three decades lol.

UChieffyBugger 01-20-2025 12:28 AM

Well needless to say them Buffalo folks are talking tough on their forum again  . Last game we were missing Butker, Brown, Pacheco, Omenihu and Watson. Hell even DJ wasn't here yet and Remigio was nowhere near the roster. So they will be facing a totally different team.

Today they got three turnovers and won by two points. Against us they got two turnovers too and in both games it gave them short fields to score points.

In our last three games against them they have won the time of possession battle by eight to ten minutes. We need to change that trend.

Tonight Taylor Rapp got hurt and Taron Johnson banged up his shoulder. Milan is also basically playing one armed. Theres ample amount of tape out there on how to attack that bills defense. Rams, Lions and today come to mind but even the Patriots moved the ball effectively a month ago.

Buffalo winning all the regular season games against us obviously creates some trepidation but stylistically this may be a way more simple game yo plan for than the Ravens would have been imo.

Lastly the world will be on Buffalo's shoulders next week. It will be on ours too because of the history we're chasing but I think our guys are used to it now. How Buffalo deals with it remains to be seen. Make no mistake thougg everyone will be against us next week. And I'm HERE for it. Let's fecking go.

Anybody else think it was super weird that Godell gave some Buffalo fans Super Bowl tickets while the game was going between Buffalo and Baltimore?

I surely turned my head during that promo.

If he did this with Chief fans, there would be major uproar about it.

I hope this game ends on a last second field goal, but the only reason that we are even in field goal position is because the Bills had a blatant DPI that gets called on 4th and 15 from our 40 yard line.

Screw that. I would like to see Chiefs play their A+ game and win by 14-17 points.

Feel like this game is going to be won in the trenches. Bills run game is good, just contain Allen and make him throw.

Gotta give Mahomes atleast 2/3 seconds to throw too.

Pushead2 01-20-2025 03:42 AM

KC 34 - 21.

Buffalo scores late to get to 21 & it's our first 30+ point performance of the year.

Coleman stinks. Kincaid’s okay.

KC was missing a more impactful group of players and the defense was much more vulnerable at the time. Also had Morris at LT.

That’s what Josh Allen is; that kid in middle school who wore Lee Pipes and asked you to borrow your Sega games and then wouldn’t give them back when you agreed. He’d just keep saying he forgot, but you know damn well he’s got your NHL ‘98 game and saved over your season with the Sharks. You can tell by the look in his eyes.

Yeah, that’s Josh Allen.

Bills fans extremely confident...

Keys to the game:

1. Convert 4th and shorts. Sneak that shit if it's close. Please let go of that freak injury from half a decade ago.

2. Somehow hide Bryan Cook. Him getting turned in circles is nightmare fuel.

3. To help the above, the front HAS to win. We expect CJ. Need George to have some quick wins. This is Omenihu's time to shine.

4. I don't usually say this but let's get some ****ing turnovers. The Bills are way overdue some and it's what really changes these games.

5. Throw early and often to WRs dammit. The Bills give you anything under 15-20 yards. Take it. Get DHop involved, he can destroy their soft zones.

6. This really goes without saying but the OL needs to hold up. If they struggle early, the whole passing game seems to get in a funk that they don't come out of.

Man I'd kill to see the offense come out and look like the best version of itself. We know what the D is. Buffalo isn't scoring 30. If we could just channel some of that prime Mahomes, OL holding up, WRs tearing up those soft zones, maybe the crowd is screaming Worthy in unison, reminiscent of Sammy. Let's ****ing do it!!
