It’s funny to me that some of the posters I’ve tangled the worst with, like you... often end up being the people I like to hear from the most |

I'm fit. All is well. But, while I DO value the friends (and I DO consider you friends), there are places that life takes you that require your time and attention. That's where I'm at. But F, it does gut check a guy when you read that Flop has been taken from this life. Live well, gents. Also, Scott and Bugs, I presume you are well through our current troubles? |
I genuinely liked him. This is sad news.

Let’s talk about it in DC, your voice is welcome there |

Just promise, and that goes for ALL OF YOU ****ERS, that someone lets us know if the worst does happen. Sucks that we're left guessing about some long time members here. |

Probably the highest risk activity I do is driving to this one farm that’s just off the highway. Which is handy. Except right there the highway is like the Bermuda Triangle of dumb**** driving or something. If I run across someone stupid on a road, 7 out of 10 times it’s there. |
I am pretty sure when I am gone there will be little notice here. But that said we should have a checkbox that in case of death do not dig up my bleached bones let me rest in peace.

Micheal my dude,
One of the few on here who've liked me but many that gave me a chance. You always had my back even though I could be a terrible piece of shit especially during the whole Phil thing. Yet you were able to the toughest things which is forgive and give me a chance. While we have similar personalities I can only hope to be the person you were. Always wanted to meet you and anytime you posted shit was epic. It sucks I never got you meet you IRL shit we probably would have ended up getting arrested LMAO. Please watch over all of us and best believe do enough trolling of Pats fans for both of us this season. Love you |
RIP Flop :(

Why do people my age keep dying? Aren't we just now supposed to be at our mid-life crisis? Mike was great. He rode up to KC with me one time, and it was a blast. It was the first time he was going to be meeting a bunch of people, and he was excited anxious. First person I ever knew who vaped. Not sure why that comes to mind. Probably because he convinced me that it was safe to do in my car...lol. RIP.
|
Prayers to his family ... RIP Flop ... you were one of the good guys
|
Holy crap.
|
Every time I see this, I get so sad....and I am NOT good at it.
|
RIP...

I read all 83 rep notes that Mike sent over the years, which were all awesome, but it just makes me miss him even more. |
When I moved from KC to Florida I got rid of a lot of memorabilia. Mike was a huge Ken Griffey jr. fan. I had a lot of Ken Griffey jr. stuff. I met him and his wife in Springfield to give him the Griffey memorabilia.
He was like a little kid again. His eyes lighted up every time he discovered something else. He got on the phone and called his mom to tell her of all the cool Griffey stuff he was getting. I know he had his demons to overcome, as we all do but, this is how I chose to remember Mike, in this moment. |
This may sound stupid - but are his non-CP friends and family aware of this thread?
Families always love to hear stories they've never heard at times like tis - from people who knew their loved one. This thread might be something they'd cherish - to know how many people he touched on a message board - which is completely out of the ordinary. Has anyone here made as many real life or involved correspondence connections as Flopnuts? Edit: well I figured out I can just send the thread to Eric on Facebook, who's running his account. I figure he's already aware but just in case. I hope that's ok. I can't imagine it would be a bad thing on balance. Edit edit: I can remove the message real quick if anyone who knew Michael better than me thinks I acted out of turn. |
Quote:
With that said, I think you should be ok with sending it. I'd assume with a long time member their families would be aware of it. |

This may be the most heartfelt RIP thread I've seen here. Says a lot about the guy.

I'm digging through some of the tailgating pics and will be adding a few that I have. This first one is of us admiring the beer flag. Floppy and rockymtnchief are to the left. :)

I always liked Flop, he's on to be with the Lord now.

got a couple videos coming
he was down here awhile back at my place |
Alright, I'm certain Flop wouldn't mind me sharing this. We were joking around making this, anyway.
He crashed at my old place about 18 months ago when he was traveling on a bus from Seattle to Branson. Somehow, his leg got cut on the way. His leg got infected, had to go to the hospital, his stay ended up being like 3 weeks, trashed his room, etc etc. We actually had a thread about it. We had a good laugh about it after and made this. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/In9iwxffVtk" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> Also, we had a gay day. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/P2T7wV-EJuU" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Birkenstock’s and Culture Club, now that’s how you do a Gay Day
I forget the name of it, but the piano piece in the first one totally sells it LMAO |
