It was the first time he was going to be meeting a bunch of people, and he was excited anxious. First person I ever knew who vaped. Not sure why that comes to mind. Probably because he convinced me that it was safe to do in my car...lol. RIP.

When I moved from KC to Florida I got rid of a lot of memorabilia. Mike was a huge Ken Griffey jr. fan. I had a lot of Ken Griffey jr. stuff. I met him and his wife in Springfield to give him the Griffey memorabilia.

He was like a little kid again. His eyes lighted up every time he discovered something else. He got on the phone and called his mom to tell her of all the cool Griffey stuff he was getting. I know he had his demons to overcome, as we all do but, this is how I chose to remember Mike, in this moment.

This thread might be something they'd cherish - to know how many people he touched on a message board - which is completely out of the ordinary. Has anyone here made as many real life or involved correspondence connections as Flopnuts?

Edit: well I figured out I can just send the thread to Eric on Facebook, who's running his account. I figure he's already aware but just in case. I hope that's ok. I can't imagine it would be a bad thing on balance.

Alright, I'm certain Flop wouldn't mind me sharing this. We were joking around making this, anyway.

He crashed at my old place about 18 months ago when he was traveling on a bus from Seattle to Branson. Somehow, his leg got cut on the way.

His leg got infected, had to go to the hospital, his stay ended up being like 3 weeks, trashed his room, etc etc. We actually had a thread about it.

We had a good laugh about it after and made this.

He then goes and turns the tables on me portraying me to be some kind of asshole that just wanted to pick on someone half my size. As if it's my fault that God made him an oversized midget, and his father never taught him how to communicate with people in ways that wouldn't get his shit pushed in.

Luckily for me I've been here for years and the folks in H/R know my character. They told him it wasn't a big deal, and there wouldn't be any more problems. Case should be closed. I'd be happy to square it away with him myself, it's not like I was going to cave his skull in or anything. It was just the heat of the moment. I was looking forward to speaking with him last night to try and bury the hatchet but it turns out the little pussy just up and quit when H/R told him they weren't going to fire me! Wow. Well, I guess OK. So far, so good, it's been a LONG 23+ months and my patience is wearing thin where I'm wanting quicker redults on the recovery.. It's starting to finally show some strength in my right leg now so that is very encouraging, bopehully it won't be to long before I'm back fo getting around again ata quicker pace.
