So this move begs the question, "Does the gameplan change?"
Will Reid still call the same plays but they will be executed differently? We have seen tons of footage open guys running free (See Pitt game) and the play results in a dump off or check down to a higher % play.. How will Reid handle this type of adjustment with Foles? Open up and let them hang out like a man? Or reign him in and play an even more controlled game? |

Thank God we don't have to witness the shit show that would have been Aaron Murray or Tyler Bray starting as Alex Smith's back-up... even against a bad Jacksonville team.

I fully expect 60 pts, 150 yard each for Conley,Kelce and Maclin.
Defense should pitch a shutout Now that we've gotten rid of the only problem on our entire team, should be a cake walk. |
So happy about the Foles hire..
Hes a great back-up to have for Alex Smith, and gives alex smith in a sense a free week to rest up to make our push for the 2nd half of the season run, and playoff run. Great hire. |
Here's the list of backup QBs who took over for the regular-season starter and won the SB:
Earl Morrall Jim Plunkett Doug Williams Kurt Warner Trent Dilfer Tom Brady Will Nick Foles be added to this list? Stay tuned! |

Foles will have to absolutely shred the Jags for me to even consider a controversy being necessary, and he'll need to get the ball out at a decent time too.
If he can get it out quick, that would somewhat negate my worries about him going against a good pass rush. |

Like i said, all Foles has to do is not turn the ball over and he'll come out of this looking like a damn hero.
We need Foles to do well so we can flip him for a pick.... |
So important question here:
If Foles tears it up again this week and Andy shuts that shit down and starts Alex the following week, will there be a thread about what banner will fly? |
we'll be fine.

If Foles even has a stat line of 17-25 - 200 yds passing - 1 TD - 1 INT .. and KC wins... - there will be several or a dozen here that will be roaring every day.. for the remainder of the yr.. that they need to cut Smith in the offseason. So yeah. Foles tears it up? Banner is coming. ROFL |

Important note here from Twitter:
Final 9 games of the #Chiefs season: Every team in the bottom half of the NFL in scoring defense, except DEN Doesn't matter what QB is playing. We should put up points |

Reid WILL NOT let Foles play his own game. He doesn't want QB controversy, expect a mediocre underwhelming performance.

And we've already seen what the defense can do against some of the top offenses in the league. Should be a fun ride. |

already prepared for the Alex smith excuse machine to come roaring in when are scores look like blow outs cause our defense keeps bailing Alex out it was pathetic last year and it will be pathetic this year. |
This is so similar to what happened in San Fran...
Hmm... |

I expect Foles will play quite well.
Honestly, I really wish he'd get some run against a stout front. If you're really interested in knowing if he's a possible improvement on Smith, you have to play him against the caliber of defenses he'll have to perform against to be successful. Kicking the shit out of the Jags won't tell us much. Like I said, I think these kinds of teams are 'get fat' games and they're right in the wheelhouse of an aggressive quarterback. I expect something in the neighborhood of 22/32 for 275 yards and 2 TDs. |

Andy better not be a conservative twat. Foles, now is your time... don't be an idiot. |

This site should be split into 2:
1. people who watch football for the sake of football. 2. people who play Madden and Fantasy football. The 2 don't mix and are completely separate realities. Another way of putting it, adults and children. that is all |

About the only thing he could do that would color my outlook much either way is just go complete reerun and chuck 3 interceptions to a defense that's looking to roll over and die. That's why I say I'd rather see him facing at least an average defense. I think this is pretty much like fighting a crippled kid - best case scenario is you beat up a gimp and there's still a chance that you trip over your dick somehow and get beat up by an invalid. If Smith had played this game you'd probably be looking at 18/26 for 225 yards and a TD. And in the end, I just don't give much of a shit either way; this just isn't any kind of measuring stick game. |

Guess Andy, Alex or any player traded to this team cant be a chief fan either, what a tool and you just proved my point about adults/children. |

I'm not against Foles starting, but I will say that his pocket presence and movement was lacking a bit in that Colts game. I'd bet there's at least one Sack/fumble this week.
